  • @thoodai - no, do not skip. maybe you should listen to the man - duty honor and country are a bad thing? really?? I have to strongly disagree.

  • @lockhosting The prolog is bad--full of abstractions which have become cliche and bankrupt. The words have been used for too long by sleazy, plasticine politicians and pulpit pushers to coerce others. That is why many people want to skip the introduction. The man's voice only remind people of the emptiness that has gone with those words. It has become incumbent that we ask for humbler words and greater action. Ask any linguist or great poet of out time. They will confirm this.

  • thanks from germany. thanks for highland cathedal. whats our cathedral? thank our god.

  • I'm Brazilian and, just by seeing this video, I'm proud in sharing the Planet with the American People.

    What a Great nation!

  • the us military doesn't even have any highlander regiments left, one thing that is missing from all their military bands is the bagpipes.

  • they are playing it too fast... they need to take their time. but they are good at playing it, they are all in time + they had the lone piper at the beginning which was good!

  • @jbeebes14

I Agree. They are way to fast. Scottisch music is about 90 bpm, not almost 120 they playing now.

  • @quickwim Second that. It is possible it is made for marching purposes. I remember we played it during a parade here in Canada and it was at this tempo. Fast but we didn't have to step short or anything. So it's good but tradition-wise...yeah.

  • That's Fascism!!!!

  • Very honorable. Thank you!

  • @lewisisdaman This tune was actually composed by two Germans, Ulrich Roever and Michael Korb in 1982 for a Highland games held in Germany. Maybe you should check your sources before you speak.

  • @CoutureOrganiste how would one find the original, could you help me out?

  • @lewisisdaman This song was written by a German.... Besides, a great song is a great song despite it's origins.

  • The three volleys fired during an active duty funeral or retired or even a veteran are presented to the next of kin and the rounds symbolize duty honor and country. This makes me proud to serve in my base Honor Guard.

  • Meesh, Jaeson, Paris- We are the One Stick. We must remember the US Military today and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with duty, honor, country being our motto as well. My name is Kenneth John Taber of Royal Palm Beach, Florida. On June 5th, 2009- The Holy Spirit Breathed on me and I became a witness- just like the 300 in the upper room 2000 years but not just any witness for I became one of the two witnesses of Revelation 11 and this is my story.
