Here's a tip to win, pass the ball! UGH, that's the thing that bothers me the most about huttball. And yes, everyone does sort by damage or healing. What about damage reduction via tank skills? Or making the epic pass only to have the person you pass the ball to try to run back to our base, thus removing any ground gained in the previous 5 minutes.

Yea I think they changed that smart camera thing in middle of the beta weekend i was at; cause the first day I played I had no problems with it, then the second day it kept rotating to the front again. Hope there is an option for it at release.

Literally you go to their site, hit the preorder link and you get "Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is not available in your region". Im guessing there is ways around it but Im not interested in playing a game that isnt supported in my region.

I actually really enjoyed the APB demo but didn't buy it and Aion I played for 3 months and had a good time with it but grew bored of the end game quickly with the terrible pvp system and server faction imbalance.

@djschaum520 I didn't like camping world boss spawns, dungeons got boring quickly imo, world PvP and castle sieges were fun when there was some competition but the PvP reward system favored a PvE grind to get gear and punished people that PvPed. One death by a person that had no points could cripple you.

But in order to get the PvP gear you needed either kill TONS of people and never die OR you could do Dredgion and castle dungeons and that would give you the points you needed... thus everyone PvEed to get their gear and world PvP was scarce because if you died you would lose so many points.

On the GW2 guru forums, we are cool with WoW, GW2 and WoW relationship is like the buddy at school that you talk to but never hang out. You talk to one another but never get to close because you don't have much in common.

Where as SWTOR is the guy that pretends he's better than everyone but really isn't. Just shoves it's ugly face.

I have to say so far I think I am correct. In 6 months time after the release of the game this game will be dead and the only people left playing it will be the fan boys that love Star Wars.

BTW if you are a skilled PvPer and want good PvP don't buy SWTOR. If you are a skilled quest reader (rofl skilled quester /joke) then this game might appeal to you. This game is all about long boring quests and ready text and talking to people, AKA zero skill game with mindlessly boring quests.

By the way fun isn't defined as running quests all day to me that is absolutely boring. He is absolutely correct about the camera. Considering this is probably a game that I'm going to be pouring hours upon hours of my life into and one of the first games I have followed for over a year in anticipation of release. The fact that you cannot have a free camera is actually a huge issue that could potentially ruin the game for me, and possibly a lot of other people. I have commented to others that in my opinion that this would be in my top 10 games ever. But now, we will have to see.

@Mastad9006 its nothing like going War>Pali its a respec; I don't know why people don't get this. If u play a class that can tank but ends up sucking, you can then switch to the other job. Or a bounty hunter that went heals. Every game has it now lol... @0Goldeneye0 at last min they said the Adv class change will prob be in 1st big patch after live. By the time u hit 3rd set planet the linear brakes n multiple paths open. (Including interaction between sides.)

IMO the game was great and fun till I got around lvl 30 then it just dropped off in fun at least to me. All of the "Cut Scenes" at the start were kind of cool but after awhile they just became an annoyance, I just ended up skipping them (some of the random kill ten quests were actually pretty interesting story wise though). Overall it is a great game, the combat was pretty fun. I played a BH and really liked the way it played.

Starter zone as a team with my guild, makes its 2x faster, then BT after that team pve questing with pvp Q in the long travel and split up at each class quest. Also note doing Crafting sending the companion, been in a team of 2 ur better using ur companion for crafting.

Crafting a lot as i am going to play a tank and its the easyer way to make def% gear.

Its OK having great game play and technical design but there seems a little too much effort put into the Tetris style star ship environments when SW has planets covered in water, wildlife and sand....

I usually roll a Tank class so in TOR I plan on rolling a Trooper. I was set on Vanguard but when I played one in early Beta to about lvl 26 I wasnt really impressed with it. I rolled with a Commando on Tat and that dood kicked some ass AND could heal like a beast, I was very impressed. Out of the six classes I played to mid 20's in Beta I'd have to say my Gunslinger was the most fun. I'm still undecided on my day one character!

For my main I'll probably be leveling with a mix of side/class quests while I q for PvP but once I get through the 4 imp classes and roll my second Sith Inquisitor I'll probably level doing only class quests and PvP.

I actually really like the game, Pre loading it right now.

I do however have a few complaints. The game seems very linear, the zones and the fact you have to go to certain planets at a time.

I also hate the fact you cant change advance classes. For example I played a Smuggler DPS in the beta. NO ONE HEALS. So I was like "Ok Ill heal, just gotta either change advance classes OR change skill points" Bioware was all like "NOPE! CHUCK TESTA!"

@0Goldeneye0 the whole changing advance classed thing doesn't make any sense to me because to me advance classes are a class all on there own, with three trees. Changing advanced classes is like Changing from Warrior to a Pally in WoW. But yes you can respec your skill trees.

Now for how I am going to level, PVE mostly but as you said PVP is a bit easier then in wow and no constant stun lock or fear, I will be enjoying PVP for the first time in a game. Hey Mike you can set the Max distance your camera can move out from your character. Default is near, but if you go into options you can then set to as far as you zoomed out so you can then scroll out that far.

I follow you on the camera following, I sometimes auto run and like to watch around me, but can't because of that one option. Will look on the 13th to see if there is something there.
