We have two sets of vocal chords and some rare people can actually train and develop the ability to isolate each set and use them independently to produce two different notes at the same time. Now, its not like they can just speak and out comes two different tones, it's usually like what he did, special ways of singing that usually have to cause a lot of heavy vibration of the vocal chords. Some forms of "Tuvan Throat Singing" utilize multiphonic singing
