@godfathercash420 i'm actually very impressed with anyone who watches for a lead change DURING the race.................since i had 250 on Fly Down, i was not.....but you are indeed correct...!!!!! see you at the Breeders....
@godfathercash420 ............and i do believe that Drosselmeyer would have taken the measure of this group........gotta wonder about his soundness still.........
First time I watched this I thought Miner's Reserve looked really odd in the stretch and wondered if he was hurt... apparently he has a fracture in his right knee, will be out a couple months. Poor guy.
I really liked how Alfeet Again raced.I think his connections would be happy with the way he ran in this race.He finished fourth to some very good three year olds.I think that the Pennsylvania Derby would be a very good spot for him next, it may be where Lookin At Lucky is going next, but it is a fat purse and if he finished in the top three that would be a nice bit of money. A little Warm ran credible as well.He came off some big numbers so, he may have bounced a bit.Winner looks great though.
I knew Fly down would have done good in this race! And First dude I love him!!! Why did he have blinkers on today though? Are they trying new things out? He has always been in the top 3 in the last 4 big races (preakness, belmont, haskell and now travers!) what an exceptional horse! If he runs next year he will be the next Blame/Quality Road! I love how he still finishes at the top and he is the pace setter in almost every race.. I think they should back him off a tad bit though.
That is the stupidest one yet. Every year someone says, "This is the weakest group of 3 yr olds." Guarantee it; it will happen again for the 011 racing season as well.
The result of this race just further proves my theory that 2010 is without a doubt the weakest crop of American 3yr.old colt's that I can remember seeing for eons. When you see a Kentucky Derby winner and a Florida Derby winner beaten this badly. That's a clue. No question about the fact that Lookin At Lucky and Sidney's Candy are the two best 3yr.old colt's in America. BY FAR!!! Lookin At Lucky will run well in the Classic. Sidney's Candy, better suited on turf. Off of his La Jolla Handicap win
@GBeret83 i couldnt agree more with you on this being the weaking class i can remember. lookin at lucky to me is far and away the best 3 year old and the only legitimate 3 year old grade 1 dirt horse out there.
Fly Down was probably better.

fly down lost too much ground or he clearly would have won the event

Shamw Lucky wasn't in here. He would have just come gallopin' home. I'm glad for Afleet Express.

weakest group of 3yo colts in eons?
How about last year. That's why Rachel went to and won the Preakness.
2005 was pretty bad too.
If the time is to be believed they went the final 2 furlongs in just under 27 secs.
That is slow.
By the way Rachel runs today.

Could the NTRA have found a video of worse quality to post? This is pointless to try to watch in an iPad.

@tjjlm444 of the boys lucky is the best...for now. The 3 year old champ in my book, as if it counts, is Blind Luck

Fly Down and First Dude are also very legit and are just getting their feet wet right now. They will be heard from if they are raced as older horses.
