Have you tried phoning T-Mobile customer support? I wonder if someone spilt some coffee or something on it, could also try to see if there is a firmware update.
Well, the ebay seller asked for me to contact them first and see what they can offer.. otherwise yes I will call Tmo. As I told Maronatis, firmware is automatically updated to this phone with their system unless it is hacked. It is an OTA phone (as I read) which means that updates come only from tmobile and would keep it up to date with usage. I'm actually pretty dumb to this kind of thing, but I'm taking it one step at a time, ya know? First I contact ebayer, ... as you see here. :-/

Well, firmware is automatically updated with this system... UNLESS it is a hacked phone. Then it will not update on its own.

Sorry that it was such a bust. I hate to get things after waiting a while and then find out I can't even use it! Hope it all gets sorted out!
