  • Sixty years later, my mother has the same approach to the phone.

  • Is that Alfred Hitchcock at 5:46 with every card in the deck? Ha ha

  • @jdollinter........... yes, it is him.

  • It's nice seeing Theresa Wright and Patricia Collinge in another move after The Little Foxes. Love their cozey Victoria home, I can almost smell the pie baking for dinner.

  • I know that it was a reply to someone but I still don´t think it´s polite to uncover such an important information in the 2nd part of 11. I have watched many youtube movies and I like reading the comments, but the plot details are usually discussed in the end. If it is a reply - like in this case, then there is often something like "spoiler warning".

  • i LOVE this movie...Joseph Cotton was a great actor!

  • Why do people quote dialogue?

  • @YellowMangerCalling It's fun! Try it, you'll like it!

  • I propousse to rename this movi UNCLE CHARLIE.

  • I still don't understand WHY Uncle Charlie pretended to be ill on the train. Any thoughts? Great movie, btw! Thanks for the upload. Can't get enough of the classics! :)

  • @TronandFlynn82 I think it was because he's on the run. The police are after him since he's the Merry Widow Murderer. He had to use a false name and everything in fear that the conductor might recognize him.

  • @jeprice08 Thank you very much for the spoiler. It is so pleasant when I haven´t seen the movie yet and suddenly I know what uncle Charlie´s dark secret is.

  • @krasnafarmarka You're not trying to be sarcastic, are you? Because if you are, I just want you to know that it isn't entirely my fault. Someone left a comment on this post and I answered it, that's all.

  • @jeprice08 hi, my reply is below :)

  • @TronandFlynn82 He was pretending to be ill so they wouldn't wonder why he stayed in the sleeper berth all time, he knew the cops were after him and he wanted to stay out of sight.

  • Hiii 3>

    If I may suggeste something!

I really wish that you write titles of all the

    classical films you have uploaded.

and thank you in advance =D

    sincerely: Jana =$

  • @rebachick94 I like The Lady Vanishes. :) Some other popular ones are North By Northwest and The 39 Steps.

  • The girl Charlotte is so gorgeous.

  • @spaciousgalaxy Yes, Teresa Wright is one of my all time favorites. A beautiful girl-next-door type.

  • Uncle Charlie is one handsome devil. 8P

  • @HydraxSly202 I totally agree :)

  • @dr12379 Haha! Yeah, why can't there be classy-looking guys like that anymore? Dx

  • I recommend Marnie (1964), my personal favorite Hitchcock movie.

  • Is that a cane in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

  • I love Patricia Collinge. Her portrait of the loving, if naive, Emmie really anchors this film. What a scene stealer. Her voice and eyes are beautifully expressive.

  • HMG! This kid has serious teenage angst, it's so funny.

  • its clarence !!

  • someday i'll have seen all Hitch's movies. i swear. lol

  • @takinnn im trying for the same goal. 5 films left.

  • @atualoa i'm trying for the same goal as well. So far, I've seen five; this will be my sixth. Any reccommendations? (I've seen Psycho, Vertigo, Rear Window, Rebecca, and Notorious.)

  • @rebachick94 Dial M for Murder, Saboteur, and the Wrong Man are personal favorites, and of course, the Birds.

  • @rebachick94 You should also see The Man Who Knew Too Much (version with Jimmy Stewart), Spellbound (Gregory Peck and Bergman- it's great and you will see that the dream sequences were designed by Salvador Dali), and I would also recommend watching some of Hitchcock's TV work such as Lamb to the Slaughter (you can watch for free on Hulu under "Alfred Hitchcock Present's".

  • @rebachick94 You have to see also Marnie. It is very very good. My best Hitchcock films are Vertigo, Rebecca, and Marnie. I enjoyed also very much The rope, What's the trouble with Harry, Topaz and Psycho.

  • I just adore this little girl; of all the child actors I've ever seen, she is my favorite, she is adorable and so real. Her readings are perfect.

  • "She makes no allowance for science, she thinks she has to cover the distance by sheer lung power"

  • I love Charlie's little brother and sister. They are hilarious!

"When I have a house of my own it's gonna be full of well sharpened pencils"

  • @Cnat123 In later years, she would grow up to terrorize Gotham City as the Clown Prince of Crime.

  • @LolitaValentine lol I can totally see that happening

  • @Cnat123 I love them too! This film needs them as comic relief.

  • I am soo glad you posted the whole movie. I really wanted to see it ; )

  • Uhhm. 1943. Hello. We were in the middle of the war.

  • It's wonderful to have a look back in time. Steam engines, funny looking cars, telegraphs, funny looking telephones, black & white picture, etc.

1943 yet no indication of war so far.
