  • One may have to look closer, but right under the logo there are three lines. The third line may read "Martha Reeves & the Vandellas", but why would it take two lines for the album's title, "Ridin' High"?

  • one of the only songs I like after HDH left motown =/

I love the vandellas this song is

    GREAT STUFF

  • The Andantes sing background vocals on this.

  • Nice 1

And thanks for the vinyl moment.

  • My favorite song by them!!

  • WHERE do you get these rare label variations!!!!?! wow by time this was out, Gordy (cursive label, was generally out) I dont have the lp to this but the rare 4 track (not 8) of this lp thanks for posting!

  • i have it on both, same with their live LP

  • MotownMaster, I heard that Thunderbird1958 (formerly Spoonfedcornbread) has the same LP "Ridin' High", but it does have an "arrowhead" design instead of the script logo, because, yours have the original script logo is completely rare nowadays.

  • I remember this. Thanks.

This was when music was MUSIC.

  • Hey Mot, do you have "Third Finger, Left Hand"? That was a jam too. Maybe the flip was Jimmy Mack or Dancin' in the Streets, not sure. Thanks!!

    diane

  • No its Martha, unlike The Supremes & Marvelettes where others sang lead besides the lead singer, The Vandellas case it was always Martha

  • Who is singing lead on this track, i know usually it's martha, but this dosen't sound like her on this track.

  • he's talking about the original cursive design, they stopped using it in mid 1967 but you can find the cursive logo on records thru late 1968

  • i heard you can find Gordy lp's with that script logo up to Cloud 9

  • It goes futher than that. I have the Temptations album, Truly for You with the hit Treat Her Like a Lady on with the Gordy Logo. That was in 1985.

  • I am sorry you said the script logo, I was thinking the arrowhead logo!

  • I never knew that this LP came out with the "Groove That Counts" label! Great track choice.
