  • Yhank you for showing us this great, great musician! Dagmar vKB;

  • Oy Vey was a poor choice of words from a klutz like me!

  • Nice music, sad reminder of such bad times. As bbnell said "Tears flow".

  • התכוונתי לומר שזו מוזיקה מאוד נחמד!

  • such music! Oy vey!

  • 58 people are retarded!

  • Tears flow

  • ¡¡¡¡¡ FANTÁSTICO !!!!!

  • the jewish writer Primo Levi killed himself out of guilt after decades of promulgating so many hateful propaganda lies about the Germans. Those who still promulgate the propaganda lies about Nazi "death camps" should follow his example but rare is the jew who has even the slightest aversion to lying. Not even one person was ever gassed at any of the camps built by the Germans in order to protect their war effort from terrorists.

  • @AlienDominators you are joking? many were gassed.

  • not even one was ever gassed at the camps built by the Germans. The jew-managed Soviets gassed millions of people.

  • @AlienDominators It truly makes me sad that there are people like you. That someone can look at all the people who witnessed the Holocaust, Jews, American, Russians, Germans and millions of Death Camp inmates that were not even Jewish, and call them liars. That you can look at all the documented video done by Nazi Germany, as well as the Propaganda and say it never existed. It is sad that so many died and people like you never learned a thing, it is people like you who can kill millions.

  • @AlienDominators Alien if you have a witness who was there and watched what happened please bring them foward until then Shalom.

  • the 1969 book "Myth of the Six Million" by Harvard scholar David Hoggan exposed why the "Holocaust" propaganda lies were implemented against the defeated Germans. The main purpose was to camouflage the many mass murders of inhabitants by the jew-managed Allies such as Holodomor, Katyn forest, Bromberg, Neu Stettin, Dresden, Hamburg, Cologne, Royan, Tokyo, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The abusive "Holocaust" lies were subsequently used to steal Palestine and justify the military takeover of Germany.

  • That mustache is an art in itself.

  • My all time favorite .

  • Check out The Hiding Place (Corrie Ten Boom) . . an amazing story of courage also.

  • Masterpiece.....i am not jew but i can deeply feel the sadness and the horror of what happened 70 years ago! French tears drop everytime i hear this diamond

  • :)

  • strings speak more than words

  • One of the most beautiful tribute is when someone is able to speak of the devil with the voice of the angel...

  • that dude ate a horse and the tip of the tail was still out of his mouth.

  • I hope that you played beautifully. I feel the same way about this artist and others. They inspire me in my painting. God bless you and your talent.

  • the dislikers missed the like button... i am serious

  • That's a moustache.

  • No words can describe this...😔

  • 57 people disliked this video, and that is wrong.

  • He did this because he said in words to this effect: "Get it all on record now - get the films - get the witnesses - because somewhere down the track of history some bastard will get up and say that this never happened".. All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.

  • It is a matter of history that when Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces, General Dwight Eisenhower, found the victims of the death camps, he ordered all possible photographs to be taken, and for the German people from surrounding villages to be ushered through the camps and even made to bury the dead.

  • A beautiful tribute with great feeling to the 6,000,000 who were brutally murdered, but also to a small but very significant number of others who were saved by the Oskar Schindlers of the day.

  • this gives me goosebumps!

  • How is justine bier more popular then this!

  • Tears from heaven

  • @durutdon Same here! I got to meet him once backstage in Pittsburgh, Pa. It was glorious!! lol if you want to check out the video of myself playing this, just type in Walker Konkle, Theme from Schindler's List. Thanks!!!! Feel free to rate it and leave a comment.

  • ...beautiful...nicely done...

  • OMG that Mustache!!!!!

  • @progressivelife Think of the great responsibility.

  • excelente

  • bella pieza melodica, que logra transmitir todo el dolor y sufrimiento de aquella horrible etapa en la historia de la humanidad.....genios; williams y perlman!

  • this amazing piece of of art makes me sad and angry same time.

  • 人生不相见 动如参与商 今夕得何夕 共此琴忧伤

  • This, is what makes us humans.

  • Itzhak Perlman interviewing...Itzhak Perlman.?

  • There is a video where during WWII,in which a German sniper and an American sniper faced off over the rubble of a city. For hours the American waited, until he heard someone playing a trumpet over the city. It was the German sniper. The American listened, and after a while, packed up his gun and left.

The power of music is incalculable. Its effects to move us, unrelenting. Let us pray that those who wage war, find their music somewhere on the battlefield and come home.

  • 57 people are nazies who's pistols jammed.

  • I disliked this Video!

Here is why: because of all the dumb comments about the litlle fraction of people who disliked it. I wanted to retaliate on you idiots.

  • this my favourite violin piece.when i hear it i feal...like in heaven:)

  • @DnBviolin This is my favorite too!! if you want to watch mine, just type in Walker Konkle Theme from Schindler's List. Thanks!! Feel free to leave a comment and rate it.

  • We survived. We got the State Israel. One of the greatest miracles of our time. We will always carry the scars on our souls. But never forget! We survived and came out stronger then before. Mitswot 614.

  • holy shit the interviewer. holy shit.

  • superb job , unreal. BRAVO Itzhak Perlman

PS we can that so far there 56 muslims here, and they diden't come here to listen :)

they just stopped by to press the Dislike button.

thank you for the muslims who come here to show their real appreciation for Jewish music as they always do. the more dislikes we have from muslims ,then more we know we are doing a great job

  • @MadMax82043 57

  • @MadMax82043 Bro, your notion towards muslims in general should be narrowed down to palestinians. Im muslim, and this song along with the precious meaning imbued within each note touches my heart man, and im only 15. I feel for every jew alive today and wish them only the best after what those nazi bastards had done. Dont condemn the entire muslim population for hating Jews, but rather, drop ur hammer of judgement on those Palestinians who lack the dignity to accomodate the Jews...

  • perlman makes such a fat, rich, glorious sound.. it's like i'm eating the nicest, spongiest cake when i'm listening to him. which is why i love his so much!

  • i truely think this video shouldn't has just over 1million views, where is the rest of the world? busying in making money?

  • @lam3e10 ha ha right! they fill their wallets and empty their souls.

  • I remember when the ''mustache'' was the top comment :').

  • This isn't just a theme song, it is a story without words.

  • TRULY AMAZING. I wish it was played just a tiny bit slower (but that's just me). Fantastic

  • Magnifique .

  • Beautiful Piece Of Music From Schindler's List!! :))

  • I used to have a mustache like that, but then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • MUSTACHE, THE MUSTACHE IS BEAUTIFUL

  • I used to think this was a bad song, and then i took an arrow in the knee.

  • Beautiful...

  • the mustache xD

  • When I saw 0:20 I was like: o_O !! KILL IT!! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!

  • There are very few perfect pieces of music...this might be one.

  • One of the most exquisite and moving pieces~ played to perfection from Perlmans heart and soul~~

  • I may not their politics n beliefs bit this beautiful.

  • I saw him play this live. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen in my life. After, he autographed my program. I keep it in my violin case and every time I open it, I feel inspired to play like one of my greatest heroes. I am playing this song this Saturday, and while I play I will try to capture just some of the magic that this amazing person does when he plays it. This is inspiring.

  • Incrivel a interpretação, já vi varios tocarem a mesma música...o sentimento que Perlman passa é muito diferenciado, além de saber tocar recebeu um porção do dom extra de DEUS.

  • One of the best piece of music ever written and superbly played

  • i cant wait...im seeing him in concert tonight i hope he plays this

  • @MrJP0729

  • Absolutely Amazing! I don't think anyone could beat that.

  • me encanta su musia

  • This video has a dislike button. Youtube should fix this problem straight away.

  • HERMOSÍSIMA MELODÍA. SON SONIDOS DEL ALMA. SALUDOS DESDE ARGENTINA.

  • ahh 240p...we meet again..

  • That interviewer looks funny the styles back then were great

  • @Davidthemusician129 he (Gene Shalot) looked funny back then, too.

  • 百听不厌

  • I know people say this all the time which will cheapen this... But I really don't understand how someone could dislike this unless it just made them feel horribly sad.

  • @LilLuvYall Holocaust deniers most likely. They swarm every video on youtube about the holocaust, dislike the video, and spam the comments with accusations the holocaust was a hoax. Also probably a few morons who just dislike every video they come to because they are tards.

  • @LilLuvYall Sometimes, people revolt when they begin to feel emotions. When they begin to feel joyous and 'open', sometimes it scares them. They think that they are not in control anymore, and that it is silly to like this music. So they dislike it, in fear.

  • @LilLuvYall Possibly because they don't like the interview in the beginning, and just want the music? Or simply because of sound quality? Or just accidentally disliking the video.

  • @LilLuvYall People are antisemitic. This film is about the Holocaust. Antisemites, Arabs, and others with a massive chip on their shoulder will dislike this video, even though the violin is enchanting.

    Pay it no heed.

  • veary mean in a real badss way . i know i lot of dip shits wont known, , but really good

  • ILL EAT YIUR HART! .. LATER mmmm ... cry i love u

  • yes the ending of this wasn't the best :-\

  • Thumbs up if you get a feeling when you listen to this that makes you want to do something more then swearing profusely at whoever dislikes this...

    ;(

I am sorry for 54 mental people.

  • @satayay1 why thump up?

  • I can't stop laughing at the interviewer. I mean, how could anyone take that seriously? The bow-tie tops it off too.

  • i think they made a moie about this song :P

  • Too fast, for my taste, I think that this melody is more beatiful played more slowly. However, Perlman is a master, no doubt.

  • it was played at my friends funeral, the thing was it was her covering it on her violin, so this song will always be special x

  • what kind of fucking idiot would dislike this masterpiece??

  • has theme music ever captured the mood of the film so perfectly?

  • FANTASTICO

  • wow! BEAUTÉ

  • the reporter is so funy... the song is very beautiful

  • @herluen This is not a song, it's a composition. Songs have a couple of chords for one or two instruments and a top melody.

  • @AxisOfOrion

    musical semantics?

  • @AxisOfOrion, so what a beutiful composition....

  • violoniste israeli genius!viva israel

  • genius

  • Mr Perlman, You already killed me :-) years ago with Fiddler on The Roof... Speccially with the high notes in pianissimo. Makes my tears just flow down..... God Bless You... Forever.

  • WoW!!!!!! Beyond this world...

  • THAT MUSTACHE

  • what the HELL is up with the interviewer's face?

  • @dansimmons21 That is Gene Shalit, a movie critic that is known for his puns... and face.

  • bless you, thank you.

  • great choice of violinist xD

  • so sad.....

  • Just listen to how that Stradivarius just WEEPS. I love it.

  • ...and eventually they turn the camera off because the people won't stop clapping. And they're right: most emotional and beautiful song ever.

  • fantastic

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAH the interviewer totally freaked me out

  • @Anders898Avey

i literally went WTF IS THIS A JOKE!?!! :)

  • This is divine. Wow.

  • Too much hateful comments here.... just enjoy the music people.

  • @quickchipmunk I agree--too much hate. How long before people get sick and tired

  • "Oh this should be a good video"

    CUT TO GENE SHALIT

    "Oh fuck offfff"

  • By the way, I was in a few ARAB countries, (more then 30 times) and saw how the common ppls live, how you treat each otheres

You can fool the world, not me.

Love your kids enough to let them grow and not turn into bombs, then start talk to us.

you chose the wrong path, see how Egyept - the great empire (RESPECT !!!) turned into desert .... learn something and begin a new path ....

You can answer, I said enough, and don't really care about answeres: the of the world may eat your bulshit, not us

  • 12 October 2011 - Sukot evening, Haifa, Israel.

Sitting in front of his amazingly touching Performance with my 2 little kids.

Bringing them closer to the sadness of our people (Holocost + fighting for existence for over 5000 years and being forced to be fighters instead of artists and scientists) and on the other side - what can be achieved when the instrument becomes a "part of you" , what is the meaning of perfection .

    Thank you Itzhak Perlman.

  • @DotcomIL Of your people? What a little piece of shit you are! You think you are the only ones who suffered of Holocaust in WW2? And how you are forced to be fighters? You wouldnt be in this situation if you hadnt took palestinians land! Everyday you kill innocent children in Gaza, take their mother or father... you should be ashamed you piece of shit!!

  • @MultiJerkku an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind- Ghandi

  • @o11y217 By that you mean...?

  • @MultiJerkku

    "piece of shit" :-)

I'm not getting to your level of course, that's the whole point :-)

and above all, there's no "you" as a nation and never was - till you saw what civilized ppls can do from a desert ... and wanted it ......

Now go to your huge countries and try to create something instead of kiling each others .....

The whole middle east could have look different if you were "on the humans side".

  • @DotcomIL Im no big American citizen who thinks USA is best, Im just a guy from little frozen hell called Finland, who thinks what you say is bullshit. Of course you have suffered but you werent the only ones. I know how it feels how someone tries to make your country bitch. But that doesent give you the justice to kill innocent people, eh? And what you mean by this "if YOU were on the humans side"?? I thought there was no "you as a nation"?

  • @MultiJerkku Why can't this song be meaningful to all peoples who have suffered? It's the sound of sorrow-something that all human beings feel, unless they're sociopaths. Why do you have to turn it into something else?

  • Sooo POWERFUL ! :O the intensity movez me into a dark musky place of depression... this compasionally tells a story of harsh indiguinty...

  • I'm not a big fan of violins but this song touches my heart. It's one of the few songs from a film that can make me cry (I also love "My heart will go on" from Titanic)

  • Very impressive, I felt it everywhere in my body. It went directly to my soul.

  • Stunning

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of those masterpieces one cannot listen without crying, even without the knowledge of the history behind this music. This music is speaking by itself

  • How can the people applaud after such music? It just spoils the feeling, leaves all the shouting and bumping in your head...

  • @Stup1dP3rs0n perlman makes 240p sound like 1080p

  • @frogform1997 *sigh* can't even begin to point out how silly that sounded :p

  • @frogform1997 and? 240pixels are for video not for sound, nab

  • @AdriaFloriDeSoc Actually, there is a slight difference in sound quality as you go up in pixels. There's more clarity. (Check out songs that are offered in HD on Youtube and switch between 240 and the highest value and you'll notice a tiny difference).

  • I girl played the solo for this at a concert rehersal I was at. With the orchestra behind her..... the image is imprinted in my mind. I had never heard it before.... but when I heard it I froze and turned around. My heart wept. I wish to play like that someday.

  • Music speaks to me.

    I cried.

  • He plays it so beautifully...

  • Dear all of you I am planing going to GAZA STRIP this winter holidays, someone told me here recently that it's nice place to leave, nice beaches, wonderful landscape and a very safe place..... But when I see a bit it's pretty like one of the biggest and oldest concentration camp with a very high wall surrounded by one of the most brutal army in the world. Please give me some advice for my holiday, time is running out.
