Why cant they just be smart if they dont have any ideas left by totally remaking and enhancing Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2:Solid snake and I think its safe to say that people would buy them because I love metal gear solid but metal Gear was before I really got into the story so id be cool to see those games remade enhanced story& MGS4 graphics. Then we get to see solid snake in his youth. How could they go wrong with that?

what he did a 2:34 was impossible with that angle they just speed the scene up so you couldnt see it. he never puts the sword behind raidens sword to pull it back, he never touches any part but the front.
Everyone just needs to stop bitching. Kojima made this game because Snake's story came to an end with MGS4, there was nothing more that could be done with Snake without ruining the series. This is not an MGS game, It's Metal Gear Rising.

@natemanexceed Like MGS2 was subtle. Like the Metal Gears are subtle. Or the MGS3 bosses or the story, bosses and action in MGS4. Stealth is the only truly subtle part of the series. I agree that it looks badass. But I've also seen short sections of the gameplay without music and it feels like Metal Gear. Just through Raiden's point of view.
@videogamenostalgia Well, it does make sense, doesn't it? He waved around two Gekko's with his legs and absolute ease, plus, he stopped an entire ship from crashing into Snake. I guess it was just the entire building's weight on his body that made it too heavy to lift. I hope there's some DLC with which you can play as MGS 4's Raiden, instead of this one. I liked him better.

@Blade2230 I'm not sure who the guy is but the time line of this game is actually about 5 years after MGS4. It was originally a prequel but when Konami handed it over to Platinum games they changed the time line, the art, and the gameplay style. The only thing that is really still the same is Raiden.
why does raiden need stealth i mean after watching him fight gekko's and vamp in mgs4 and seeing him throw a 35ft robot in the air in this video does he really need stealth
That said though, even without stealth/optical camo (which he may have in this game), Raidan is still well-versed in stealth tactics, particularly after learning from the Native Americans as he explained in MGS4. We may yet see stealth in this game after all.
I do like though that some people are saying, beyond his words in the beginning, that Raidan is indeed more like a Samurai then a Ninja - Gray Fox focused on stealth besides his super-human abilities, but thus far, Raidan has not: He doesn't have stealth camoflage and, hell, break-dancing Gekkos, throwing a Ray and hilariously chopping that box....he's just not stealthy at all.
In comparison to the original MGS titles,instead of using 'waiting sneaking' as with Solid snake, they would have adapted the predator sneaking style with MGS Rising (2010 version). Now the new version is just cut and slash gaming. It's such a shame because the original Rising version would have been a huge innovation for stealth games. It's a shame because the new version is a rehashed game concept that has already been developed over and over again.
Why is a Raiden pretty much godlike now? I don't mind their being a hack and slash but Raiden pretty much laughs in the face at all of Snakes efforts of the past games.. He can cut through anything and throw a metal gear 10 foot in the air? D: A little consistency the franchise is known for would of been nice. This isn't Dragon Ball Z.

@Blade2230 I'm not sure who the guy is but the time line of this game is actually about 5 years after MGS4. It was originally a prequel but when Konami handed it over to Platinum games they changed the time line, the art, and the gameplay style. The only thing that is really still the same is Raiden.

That said though, even without stealth/optical camo (which he may have in this game), Raidan is still well-versed in stealth tactics, particularly after learning from the Native Americans as he explained in MGS4. We may yet see stealth in this game after all.

I do like though that some people are saying, beyond his words in the beginning, that Raidan is indeed more like a Samurai then a Ninja - Gray Fox focused on stealth besides his super-human abilities, but thus far, Raidan has not: He doesn't have stealth camoflage and, hell, break-dancing Gekkos, throwing a Ray and hilariously chopping that box....he's just not stealthy at all.

In comparison to the original MGS titles,instead of using 'waiting sneaking' as with Solid snake, they would have adapted the predator sneaking style with MGS Rising (2010 version). Now the new version is just cut and slash gaming. It's such a shame because the original Rising version would have been a huge innovation for stealth games. It's a shame because the new version is a rehashed game concept that has already been developed over and over again.

Why is a Raiden pretty much godlike now? I don't mind their being a hack and slash but Raiden pretty much laughs in the face at all of Snakes efforts of the past games.. He can cut through anything and throw a metal gear 10 foot in the air? D: A little consistency the franchise is known for would of been nice. This isn't Dragon Ball Z.

@Crisis1316 No, he was cool in MGS4, stong and honorable, he didn't spout stupid devil may cry action cliche lines and screamgrumble constantly.
I actually thought mgs2 was the worst of the mgs series easily. Not because raiden was in it, just that it wasn't a particularly well told story.

@no1aviator The platinum games engine isn't a bad engine Go see Vanquish and i m really sure that kojima will promt them to do some reworking i m pretty sure Rising will look very nice and lets not forget we still havent seen the Fox Engine .Its not about graphics anymore mate .Its still early to judge
