  • Faith, hope, virtue and charity are not exclusive to religious nuts. You don't need mythology to practice virtue and have faith in something greater than yourself.

  • Its sad that you guys believe that. God bless you.

  • Google profile of a sociopath, read the list, now look at these men.

  • I am starting to believe that you need to be required to be a sociopath in order to be a leader in a religion. Sociopaths live to take advantage of others, swindle, lie, and they require the love of the people they swindle in order to justify their lies. And their minds are so wired differently that they feel no remorse for doing so, it's not treatable, it's scary.

  • A number of atheists responded, which I think means they too are looking for peace and inner joy. I’ve found that ego is the cause of all suffering and negativity. I was hurt so I thought hurting others with my words would make me feel better. It took many years to get over the idea that my “self” was more important than God. That tendency remains insidious and when it manifests, it results in causing pain. Giving up my ego to God and the love of others, for the first time I found joy and peace.

  • Secular fundamentalism?

    LMAO what a joke.

  • Sorry folks, but a growing number of Americans are waking up to the realization that God is nothing more than Santa Claus for adults. And I say "amen" to that!

  • @fab4bear Um... no. The percentage of Americans who claim "no religion" has doubled over the past decade, from 8% to 16%. Even a lunkhead like Glenn Beck would acknowledge this.

True, the percentage of those people who are bold enough to call themselves "atheists" would be smaller... many atheists prefer to sugarcoat with terms like "humanist", "freethinker", and "agnostic" (which despite its definition is still an atheistic position).

  • @sponyak I wonder where the 2008 American Religious Identification Survey, 2008 Pew Forum get their data? We all know just about anyone can fabricate a "poll" to support any conclusion. What's your reaction to 300,000 to 650,000 Americans showing up for a "religious rally" on 8/28 in Washington? I believe there is currently a new Awakening among Americans despite what you say, or any "evidence" from your referenced polls. You're a self-avowed atheist. That doesn't threaten me, you're free to be.

  • @sponyak Just for the sake of argument, let's say the poll was a true representative of it's conclusion, so what? A lot can happen in a couple of years. Look how far we've come towards socialism under obama. I personally think he's done MORE for a return to God than anyone in recent times. Ironic! He's destroying America and building up God at the same time.

  • Everything came from nothing.

    Trust me. I'm an atheist.

  • @fab4bear Not true, You may want to check out the fastest growing belief group out there. They're atheists.

  • @fab4bear Uh, no it isn't. I haven't read of a single religion/denomination that has had a percentage increase in its numbers, but there's likely a few small ones. Non-religiousness though, has by far had the greatest percentage increase over the last 20 or so years. Perhaps you are thinking of the recent study that shows people who are religious are often far more zealous in their beliefs then people were 40-50 years ago.

  • @sponyak @MrDustdon @chewey

    Name your sources

  • @fab4bear 2008 American Religious Identification Survey, 2008 Pew Forum on Religion in Public Life. One correction... the number of non-religious Americans has doubled over the past 2 decades, not 1 decade. ARIS found non-religious Americans at 15.3%, Pew at 16.1%.

fab4bear, If you say more people are turning back to God, than what the hell is this "epidemic of nonbelief" that Beckie-Boy & guests are so worried about?

  • i like how he quotes Jefferson. so ironic.

  • "Dude, LDS... Got me laid!" Best conversion story ever.

  • The bullshit these people spew sounds good. But good sound bullshit is still bullshit. Rambling and nonsensical attacks on anyone who might expose religion for what it is, control and tyranny of the few on the many.

  • @mooky1977 You need to be more worried about the tyranny and control that obama has been, and is about, to throw on yours and our asses than what Religion does for people. You can CHOOSE not to go to Church, but you CAN'T choose what laws to follow or not follow that these progressives and socialists are forcing down our throats. Get your priorities set.

  • @fab4bear do me a favor and look up progressive. Then go and look up socialist. Now compare and contrast. Learn basic definitions before I take your paranoid conspiracy theory even remotely serious.

  • How is secularism a religion?

btw these people are crazy and all the people who listen to these people need to have a serious look at their life

  • @zach2093 who called secularism a Religion? I guess you're immune from "having to look at (your) life?" Delusional, sounds like, to me.

  • @fab4bear Umm the Rabbi said that America seems to be making "secular fundamentalism" its official religion.

    Idiot.

  • This was like 15 minutes of pure insanity.

  • I didn't like the part of the program where the Jewish man said that atheists are lazy and benefit from what God's people do. I'd like to hear more viewpoints on atheists, where their morals come from, how they can live successfully in society and how they can help make America a better country. You're alienating them without cause. It's wrong of you. If Beck fans can tolerate his Morman faith (which isn't exactly a mainstream religion) then there is a place for atheists.

  • @vechorik I want to hear more from Rabbi Lapin. A further explanation would be interesting. I'm sure he will become a semi-regular guest. I'm looking for a transcript of his speech at "Devine Destiny" from the Kennedy Center. If anyone has it, please share it with us.

  • I really don't see how we are lazy either, I mean, things aren't handed to us, we go to school and have jobs just like any other religious person.

I don't really think about where I get my morals from, but it's alot like religious commendments like don't steal, don't kill, the obvious.

I think we can make America a better country like others do, like voting for

    laws we think are best.

I hope I was somewhat of help..
