I was on a chairlift once. We were going over a terrain park and I saw a skier try to slide down one of those rails. He failed, and fell with the rail right in the bollocks!

@xBloodfatherx Because one of them crashed into me when I was snowboarding! I had fallen, and instead of just steering around me, he just shouted "look out!" and expected me to clear his path! I told my skier friend later and he said that skiers don't have as much control when they don't use poles.

@pietenpol2010 Excuse you, Mr. Geek? My friend has been skiing since he was 10 years old. He can ski better than I can snowboard, and I'm pretty damn good at snowboarding. So he's not new to skiing, and then there's the other issue: people like you are not supposed to say shit like "noob" unless your playing your dumbass blackops games. Unless you've found yourself an online skiing game, which would be just as crap, but you'd be playing it all day anyway, mofo nerd.

@MrPocketWatch1 FYI the term noob is accepted to mean more than that. I've been skiing professoinally for 33yrs. Poles are never used for kids under 8yrs old because they are a hinderance. the most frustrating thing to newbs...not noobs is handling poles when riding a lift. And further more poles are a painfor me when teaching as it hinders my ability to help my students. Get the facts from a professional not a wannabe.
