  • Just listened to this again...just love the fabulous Eb chord the choir enter on, perfect! And its great to hear the boys singing so accurately. I reckon Sir David enjoyed every minute of this! I certainly did. You can hear all eight parts practically all the way through - something that can't be said of some recordings I have heard

  • Achei este vídeo maravilhoso, a melodia, o côro e....Tudo muito impressionante

  • Lovely, lovely, lovely! Thanks for posting. Somehow youth choirs seem to "just get it", don't they?

  • @longeaton34 it's because of their enthusiasm :)

  • Brilliant. Absolutely love it! Another brilliant composition by Parry.

  • I love the way it builds up at the end. Its completely OTT, but oh so unabashed and marvellous and wonderful. So many singers - good sound!

  • Aha!! The Mighty City of Birmingham Symphony Hall if I am not mistaken. Bet concert hall in the country bar none!! Dam' fine organ too. First class chorus under the maestro's baton. Bless''d Sirens indeed!!!

  • We performed this with the Lancashire Youth Choir ( Grammar Schools then), in about 1961. I wonder if it sounded as good as this?

    Thank you for posting.

  • Yes!! Such an amazing experience I feel so fortunate to have been part of!!! Big love to the NYCGB xxx
