I hate this video yet I love this video, it fits really well. It's so sad what happen. Especially since it's all because he wasn't able to see how much he meant to people. He thought he wasn't good enough at anything he did but it was really the opposite. Lets not let his death be in vain, tell the people you love or even perfect strangers, (who knows you might be what saves them that day) that they matter and are loved so this doesn't happen to anyone else.
wow you all have the wrong insight. It wasn't ALL just his career. He was a regular person with other problems as well....not just rejection on the career front.

I think those last few years worth of footage you can see the difference... there's an emptiness in his eyes.... the spark inside has died... what do you think?

i don't agree, i think he was trying to become a better actor, when I auditioned for theater and I tried my ass off i was told i should go work at a bar. However, I auditioned again for a bigger theater company and i was accepted. Obviously, i didn't persue acting, but my point is, is that brandis could be a huge actor today, he just didn't take rejection that well, and he had depression.
No one really knows that he didn't take rejection well. He most likely had other things going on in his life and in his mind that only he could know about. That's what depression is: a solitary nightmare.
I think he left this world way too soon. He had so much talent. And then there's those eyes, the bluest of them all, the most sparkly of them all. You could see into his soul through them. I am wondering if no one looked deep enough to know he was that depressed. RIP Jonathan Brandis, we miss you.
If I keep watching these, I'll be bawling my eyes out constantly. I just wish someone could have saved him, he was so beautiful, I hope he knows now, wherever he is, that he was respected and adored by so many.
I remember watching and loving this series when I was in my early teens. When I heard that he hung himself I felt that another one of the truly talented young actors of my generation hand died much to soon and before his time. I hope he found the peace that this life could not offer him
