he sends it through guitar effects... a phaser I think, but it's been so long since I played guitar through effects that I'm not too sure. Check out version of Scratch & Sniff from the Flecktones' Live At The Quick DVD. It's sick.

yes that is from Cameleon. To get that sound im pretty sure he uses the same thing as a guitar player would. a pedal to bend in the sound.

@umphreak042 He has a modified wah-wah pedal to get those sounds. It's no different that doing the same effects to a guitar.
