He didn't push off - just another example of a ref deciding the outcome of a game. Oh well... The rebs barely beat us on a bigtime down year after the leftovers Nutt left. If that was offensive foul called for the hands to the back, then defensive interfence should have been called when he extended his right arm to imped the receiver. That happened before the hands to the back.
The use of one arm as an "arm bar" is perfectly, 100% legal so long as it doesn't impede the receiver from getting the ball. Since Crawford caught it, they weren't going to flag for the arm bar.
Also, when both players are looking for the ball, defensive pass interference is almost never called so they wouldn't have called it right after the throw.
Its good though. Now we have an excuse in a couple of years when everyone starts complaining that were running up the score. If you keep it close this is what the refs will do.

Go read the NCAA rules on Illegal contact and pass interference. Rule 7-3-8-b
"Offensive pass interference by a Team A player beyond the neutral zone
during a legal forward pass play in which a forward pass crosses the
neutral zone is contact that interferes with a Team B eligible player. It is
the responsibility of the offensive player to avoid the opponents."
