He's saying that Yip Man had to adjust his technique for his height. Makes sense. He's also saying that it's wrong to just imitate someone blindly. I don't think he is disrespecting his own teacher, but I get how people would hear that. Interesting video.

It seems to me from this video that Ip Man was small in statue when he was training. I think it is pure genuis that he encouraged the movements for the system around his own physical stature. Thanks alot.
