Wow does this song remind me of high school. Yet another song that was in heavy rotation on 107.9 The End in Cleveland at that time. Great tune. I remember (sort of) seeing them along with the Spin Doctors and Cracker in concert at Blossom Music Center.

I think that was Doug Hopkins style of music. You can even tell that the songs he didn't write, he put most of them to music. Don't get me wrong, the other members are excellent musicians as well, but trying to replace Doug Hopkins equates to John Lennon leaving the Beatles. The talent is still there, but you can't reproduce this exact style and sound any-longer.

They’ve always reminded me of modern hippies. This song reminds me of Fleetwood Mac. The music doesn’t make me think INXS, so I never really thought about it. I’ve always though the “mean tone” in Hey Jealousy, is one of the sweatest “mean” tones ever. This is the kind of music I sort of appreciated when it came out, but these days, I totally appreciate it. My mind is closed with to some music, but it is more open than it was 15 years ago.
