@callumleach The salchow takeoff is supposed to be slow, because in reality the salchow jump is the same as the 2A, but instead you have to turn foward first, that helps you build momentum. If you hesitate on the 2A takeoff, you wont be able to step up and over as efficiently.
@callumleach yea, i wasn't trying to make enemies, i was just trying to express my opinion on the jump lol :P. I guess we have different techniques, the way i was taught, it's massively important to turn foward first on the salchow, toe loop, loop, lutz, and flip first. I think if you took your time on ur takeoff on ur salchow, it would be a lot better :)
@lordkevinownz neither am I, I just didnt get why you would abruptly state that and then mock my knowledge of figure skating! I found that very rude anyway thanks for your advice and if your not trying to make enemies think before you type next time.
@callumleach I've been skating for nearly a decade as well, as a matter a fact, I came back from an injury that had me off for 15 months, I started skating again this June and got back all the jumps I had :P, but yea I'll try to think b4 i type next time XD
@lordkevinownz right thanks for your input! but I have a coach who teaches me that stuff and I think the fact that Iv been skating for over a decade means I know the technique for jumps such as axel and salchow! but yet again thanks!
