Dear Sir, Thank you very much for sharing your excuisite work I have some questions: Do the pins go through the maxillary plates just by pressure? What is the perfect age for applying the Latham? Are 10 days really enough? and what if we decrease the pressure and increase the time , I mean to make the expansion-retraction slower?? what is the best time scale for optimum alignment and optimum gentelness to tissues ? Is there another artist currently doing this in Alexandria? thx

Yes the pins go through by pressure only no drilling.

The perfect age is up to 2 years.

10 days is enough because the baby admitted in the hospital over the activation periode & immediatly i mean in the same setting of removal surgical closure is done..

Last question i dont know.

@ElNassry I usually do the first surgery at three months of age, so can we apply the latham more than ten days before surgery? i mean maximum application time ??
