the problem isn't the actors... well... not always the actors. unfortunately the american public seems to crave mediocrity and the studios give it. maybe if we developed a little artistic taste and looked for more than just the next phase of cgi we could have a better quality of actor in this country. maybe the oscars wouldn't always be dominated by brittish actors. but then... you couldn't cut funding for the arts.

I really agree with what he talks about around 1:13. There are so many actors out there that play the exact same person in every single movie. It's nice to see people like Alan Cumming who can play pretty much anything.

I just watched Ghost Writer the other day and I've watched it three times since because it was so good. Also, no one ever mentions this one, I loved him in Titus. The movie probably won't make sence to most people (it took me 5 times to finally get what was going on) but he is absolutely adorible!!! He throws a hissy fit and it's so cute!
