Yes this song haunts me everyday and when I was a young feller I had a problem, which was my bedtime was at 1930 and the only time I could see it was at Grandma's house. The other western series that I'd like to hear is "California" and "Tales of Wells Fargo"

Yes it is. Good catch. imdb credits him as "Little Hawk" in "The Horse Thief". That wasn't the only time. Check out "Broken Arrow". Love that theme song. Some shows today don't even have theme songs to save money. What a loss.

when I was a kid i really enjoyed that show especially the theme song. the sheriff on the show was one real hero type guy it was incredible when the show was cancelled he later played roles as a villian in movies and other tv programs.

That was one of my favourites from that era along with "Paladin" and "The Rebel". I have driven friends mad, even those old enough to remember, singing that jingle. They just don't remember.
