I can see the steel plate saving the pavements ass but if there is smoke its still burning rubber. I could see the tires holding up better on smooth steel though.

did anyone see a steel plate in this video? Did you watch the end? you can see the smoldering hole in the asphalt....on top of that, I've never seen anyone do a burnout on a steel plate. I wouldn't bash america too much either considering you would have nothing to burnout in if it wasn't for us.

aarontheman38- check australian Ford V8 burnouts!! they may just surprise you. That burnout by the way was fairly average. Many cars can do stationary burnouts better than that.Try videoing some power skids- or check em out at Powercruise.(australia)

Thanks guys. I did just invest in 4 new tires. So as soon as they get to low again I will have some more fun. And we have a couple of ideas for the next video.

As far as the gas pedal issue. I have an Auto (How sad) and every time that I redline it throws it down, like the governer. But I have learned my lesson and will adjust next time. While one of the last times I did it it shifted into second but not third. It was weird.
