I'm going to get an unlocked AT&T HTC Surround. Will I lose my unlock if I update my phone to a newer version of the OS. And if I lose my unlock can I use this method to unlock it again?

No I just unlock one and update, it unlock permanently, it not the same as jailbreaking

I unlock the phone, but i can´t put another language, it is only english and i need spanish, i went to the settings and click on "region & language" and in the display language it is only English, I think At&t block the other languages... Do you know how to put Spanish?...
