when u get the ds x it comes with a usb cable. u just plug in the ds x to the computer and drag the .nds file (homebrew app) into the Apps folder. Then just unplug the ds x and play!!!
want a nice easy way to homebrew? go to walmart, they have a datel max media dock, it takes SD cards, so dont buy the one that comes with memory, you can find that at fry's for dirt cheep ($20 for 2Gb CF card) its DLDI compatable, only thing it cant do is run .gba roms and play commercial .nds roms, but it can back them up and all sorts of stuff to em, with the right software
you must have pulled up the wrong one, the max media dock IS for the DS, its memory card reader sits on my desk, while the top booter card sits jammed in a friends launch DS (very old DS, one of the first).
If you're buying now, get a DLDI based device like R4DS or M3 Simply. Plus as large/many MicroSD cards to go with it as you think you'll need.
Forget DS-X. It was a great product but now it's behind the curve. They're fixed capacity, plus the new ones have issues with the updater (competitors let you update directly by drag & dropping). Every new/activevely developed application will be DLDI anyway, so...
The DS-X has the highest compatibility with nds roms but it can't play gba games or snes games(well). I've had no problems with homebrew so far but the gba thing may mean other homebrews are incompatible
Okay thanks. And one more thing, do you ,know any good applications for it? Or of any good emulators for the DS? Not like a DS emulator on the comp but emulators like super Nintendo and such on the DS.
Epic fail
