There was a documentary done about this particular church. The old guy, who is shown several times, holding several snakes, has been bitten multiple times, and can no longer move his hands. These folks believe that they are looking "the serpent" in the face & that god is protecting them. When they get killed by a rattlesnake bite, they claim that it was just their time to die.
