  • Interesting 1-4-5 pattern lolz but nice demo nonetheless!

  • I just bought these off amazon for $79. I love my brother's 57/62 pups more than my EJ Strat's pups. The tone you're getting here is amazing. One thing he's done with his guitar is have a the pickguard custom made so that the bridge pickup would be backwards (ala Hendrix). It sounds amazing however this does too.

  • Can you please tell me the pickup height?

  • SWEET!!!!! <3<3<3 ALL THE TONE YOU COULD WANT IS IN THIS BABY :) ,YOU JUST HAVE TO BRING YOUR PURE RICH SOUL AND THIS GUITAR WILL RESPOND TO YOUR EVERY NEED :)

  • Nice 5/4 bars LOL ... Other then that, nice vintage quack!

  • Bad timing.

  • I have a Squier CV 50's strat. Just want to know if these pups would make it sound better? I know its a dumb question. Whats your opinion? Thanks ,great demo.

  • @zouavefrench I do not know these PU

  • @looping800 I think that the answer is if the 57/62 PU would improve the sound of a Squier Classic Vibe 50's strat. Thanks

  • @zouavefrench The CV50s sound good already, maybe invest in a better amp if you dont like the tone

  • what time signature is this, sounds like it's in 5

  • what amp settings do you have in this vid? (vol, treb, bass, mid if your champ has a mid)?

  • excelente tono felicitaciones .......!!!!!!! woao

  • Good sound. Also in the beginning I couldn't follow the pattern. Not a 12 bar blues, but then you went to a 12 bar blues.

  • I listented to your other video and want these for my G&L S-500. Do you have any comment on whether the 57/62 would sound good or not on the S-500 with its toggle swtich that to me is similar to the idea of the S-1 switching on Fenders Thank

  • i have these picks ups

i very much like them, even though i'm not a fan of the overall strat sound....

the sounds ooze out of my vox amp, warm and fat and very professional tone

compared to my old japan squier strat practice guitar, far far better sounding

  • interesting. at the begining you play the theme in 5/4! u hear it!?

    nice sound anyway!

  • i just got them installed on my strat yesterday and i have to say the neck pickup lacks some serious bottom end but i'm in love with the mid pickup. either way, i still love these pickups they are definintly alot better than stock pickups mainly because they sound so clear, rich and not cheap sounding. They are also not harsh or piercing which is always a great thing

  • This is the best review of these pickups I have read I agree with everything you just said the middle pickup makes this set in my oppinion. Really I think these pickups get a perfect early dire straits sound if anyone is going for that

  • bestoven, these pickups probably have the warmest tone of all the fender strat pickups.

  • stratuser54, he replaced the pickups in his guitars with the 69's

  • which fender pickups do I need for the warmest possible sound?

  • so are tex mex pickups just hotter?

  • yeah, I work at a music store. I think the 57/62 pickups sound way better, tex mex sound too thin to me. To be honest this guy needs to change his amp setting because I got way better sounds

  • Get Dimarzios virtual vintage blues

  • These are the warmest I have heard, I haven't tried lollar yet though, But between these tex mex and gold lace, 50s are too dull for me these are perfect

  • ssbro3, when I said that these pickups are warm, I ment that they had a low output, which they do. Also, I never said that the 69 pickups were better than these, I said that the 69's are better for a hendrix kind of sound, mainly because hendrix always used 69 pickups in his strats.

  • alot of his guitars were made before '69, so how do you figure that

  • Guiogo, these pickups are made for really warm, vintage strat blues. For hendrix and rock and roll stuff, the fender custom 69 pickups would probably be better.

  • These pups are defenitly not warm, but they are vintage thus clear sounding.

62 is not better, it's different. Warmer and hotter, not vintage like 57/62

  • Great tone

  • Hi, I bought a used MIM Strat with these already fitted and they sound great. My tone is wired neck = top, neck/middle = top + bottom, all other positions are bottom only. Just wondered if this was unique to my set-up or is your neck/middle position wired for both tone pots?

  • There are different possible wiring, and it's very easy to modify according to his desires, looking for wiring diagrams on the internet (like Seymour Duncan Seymour Duncan Wiring Diagrams)

On my guitar, I made a Blender Wiring (1 Master Tone + 1 Blender)

  • about the tone, can u play eric johnson, gilmour, hendrix, srv, deep purple staff with it?

  • Yes we can...

  • and there is some way to cut the HUM?

  • you must avoid all sources of electro magnetic radiation (spot light, TV, CRT monitor, ....)

  • this pickups cut the HUM on 2 and 4 positions?

  • The OEM pickup 57/62 do not cut the HUM on 2 and 4 position.
