To me it's clear BP wants this flow to happen. So0lution is simple. They should lower a 12x25 meter heavy open cylinder (open tin can) over the opening, then fill it with basketball-size boulders, then softball-size rocks, then gravel, then 'mud' and finally concrete for a secure cap.

Eeveryone seems to have a good idea with the boycotting and stop feeding the government... but just 1 problem there. The US has become too dependent on posessions, and all americans have needs, such as, soap, medicine, ect. Even if we have 100,000 people stop spending, that won't make enough of a dent to really change anything. This is something that has to be fought in a different way.

Suing them probably wouldn't do much, and what would the basis for suing be. There really is nothing you or I can directly do to stop what most of these corporations do. I don't use credit cards, I don't use banks, I grow my own food. Even if say 500000 people do that, you will not make a dent.

It's the fox watching the hen house! BP watching the oil spill! They won't plug it until the relief well is producing. Their efforts are all a facade to rehabilitate the the damaged well. They have no intention of stopping the leak, only rehabilitating the well. They will mess around with it until the relief well is completed.
1 - Find out if BP or/and US GOV is willing to LISTEN to amasing new ideas how to stop the oil disaster
2 - Find out if BP/GOV is willing to share information on details reguarding the logistics/tools/details(numbers/depth/temperature/pressure etc.) around the spill so free ideas can be formed out of the information
3 - Asemble a group in some way and pick the best ideas and push them forwards/spread the word via all the net tools etc.
4 - Make the public group meet BP and have a go at it.
It all depends on - Are BP willing to talk with the public in a sterio fasion, aka 2 sides speaks and listens, instead of a mono type comunication where 1 side speaks and dosen't listen.

Did you see the video of the farmers who suggested using HAY to soak up the oil. Sounds simple but I saw it demonstrated - it looks like it works! We could rally all the hay farmers to drive trucks loaded with hay to the infected ocean! Probably won't fix the problem, but maybe it will lessen the affects?

To me it's clear BP wants this flow to happen. So0lution is simple. They should lower a 12x25 meter heavy open cylinder (open tin can) over the opening, then fill it with basketball-size boulders, then softball-size rocks, then gravel, then 'mud' and finally concrete for a secure cap.
Should be simple to cap this with old technology. That's one more reason why I'm so angry. This is not rocket science to fix this. Why am I wrong?

The US has become too dependent on posessions, and all americans have needs, such as, soap, medicine, ect. Suing them probably wouldn't do much, and what would the basis for suing be. There really is nothing you or I can directly do to stop what most of these corporations do. I don't use credit cards, I don't use banks, I grow my own food. Even if say 500000 people do that, you will not make a dent.

Drop raw iron ore upon the oil leak point(s).
Place a table / Upside down cup with a center tube that has a ball valve (ball rides in the tube and pressure form oil will cause ball to pinch top closed).
Pour raw iron ore on top of the table / pipe to hold it in place.
To tap oil, drop a connection to the top of ball valve pipe and lower a weight to push the ball and allow oil flow to the rig.
This is an idea by Brian Leonard Golightly Marshall. It is inexpensive, not technical and it will work

See the jet of crude spewing out at an angle under it's own power? Lay a larger pipe 2x the diameter over it via a hole on it's side, pipe open at end too. Let the spewing oil work like a venturi jet in a suction dredge. A 30-45 deg incoming side jet will drive water and oil mix up the pipe, reducers and pumps along the way to oil tankers. Gold dredge heads work this way with pumped flow versus this natural flow. Dredges suck up rocks. Why not?

Best thing we can do is hold on, cut our finances back to major frugal, buy used products, eat local and or organic, pay off debt, disconnect from the banking system and use cash, silver & gold, and don't ever buy a new car. Also get into preparedness, buy guns ammo, food, supplies and learn to produce as many of the things you need for yourself. Then when the system collapses (as it must) we'll have more options when the time comes to pick up the pieces.

You make a great point. The evil that runs free in the world today is the child of the thinking of modern economists like Alan Greenspan who know a lot about money, but nothing about anything else. Greenspan believed that democracy was a poor method for the people to express their wants, and that capitalism is much more pure, that the things that people buy and what they spend their money is a truer representation of human desires and motives.

Gerald Celente has said what we can do. That is to STOP buying from these big corporations! Buy local, organic, and used, but refuse to buy new or eat corporate food. They have no intention of stopping the leak, only rehabilitating the well. They will mess around with it until the relief well is completed.

1 - Find out if BP or/and US GOV is willing to LISTEN to amasing new ideas how to stop the oil disaster
2 - Find out if BP/GOV is willing to share information on details reguarding the logistics/tools/details(numbers/depth/temperature/pressure etc.) around the spill so free ideas can be formed out of the information
3 - Asemble a group in some way and pick the best ideas and push them forwards/spread the word via all the net tools etc.
4 - Make the public group meet BP and have a go at it.

Did you see the video of the farmers who suggested using HAY to soak up the oil. Sounds simple but I saw it demonstrated - it looks like it works! We could rally all the hay farmers to drive trucks loaded with hay to the infected ocean! Probably won't fix the problem, but maybe it will lessen the affects?

Besides numerous grass roots suggestions being placed in position, a few RAN/Greenpeace/Earth Stewards/Unknown Tribes INSPIRED corporations would be a great NON-Underdog representative vehicle to PUSH for accountability and Safe/Supportive political agreements. Of the more than 10 possible ways to counteract irresponsible corporations, maintaining a grass roots corporation is as throttled as it gets (in revamping processes anyway).

the oxygen is being depleted from oil eating microbes.. the dispersants Bp is putting out are accelerating this problem. The oil is now approaching the loop current, which may take it up the east coast and damage the fl keys. BP said, not too worry, the amount of oil that hits the keys will be minimal =/ argh

We don't get our oxygen from the oceans, we get it from trees and plants. Scientists have also found a new type of animal called Loriciferans, sort of like a jellyfish encased in a shell, in the deadzones of the Mediterranean sea, that can live and reproduce without oxygen.
So don't worry about the planet, nature always finds a way. Just do everything to reach your potential.
