Yeah, that surprised me, too. I was also diasappointed by his remarks about Michael Moore. Who is Rand Paul to talk about how Americans should use their citizenship? Hello freedom of speech, freedom of the press!

I am going to hope and assume he is just trying to come off as a neocon by changing his speaking style. Because Ron Paul voted for the original Afghanistan resolution, but the mission changed to something unconstitutional.

The same freedom of speech Michael Moore has to criticize America, anyone else has to criticize Michael Moore. And if you actually believe what Michael Moore believes, Paul wasn't even insulting him. Moore literally praises Cuba's health care system. That's a fact. It's not an insult to Michael Moore. It's a difference of opinion.

It's a difference of opinion over a healthcare system. Dissention is a great form of patriotism. I have no problem with Rand Paul's feedom to speak against Michael Moore. But, I'm not going to vote for someone who criticizes someone else's patriotism because they disagree over an issue.

Every book and movie he makes is a direct and calulated attack at every aspect of America. That is his right. But if Rand Paul makes one 5 second comment, he's lost your vote? I think not. I think you know where you're coming from. And you know who you'll support no matter what.

You ought to be careful about the assuptions that you make about other people.I am a dedicated supporter of Dr Ron Paul and an active member of The Campaign for Liberty.However, I am objective enough that I have not allowed my great love and support for Dr Ron Paul make me blindly follow his son.

Michael Moore is a proud socialist, and he has called Capitalism "evil".

These aren't assumptions. So along comes Rand, jokes that Moore should stick with Cuba, which Moore has idealized.

Hatred is not implicitly patriotic. Consider Moore's stated goals. They have nothing to do with the foundation of this nation. I don't assume anything about you. I do question your objectivity.

So, in other words, pressing the "hot button" of Michael Moore and criticizing him was a tactic that worked on you? I'm not passionate about Michael Moore one way or the other, so in this way I can remain objective. I am passionate about Dr Ron Paul in a positive way, but I'm not going to let that cloud my objectivity for his son. By the way, Dr Ron Paul has some very interesting things to say about our foreign policy with Cuba.
