1. Did you bridge your network on Ubuntu? Click the spider-web icon on the bottom of the screen and click bridge.

2. Did you enter your system's IP address in the DNS settings of your Wi-Fi network?

@visualizainc Go into Cydia and search for Spire. Connect to Wi-Fi before the download cause it's about 100MB. Siri is directly downloaded from Apple during the download. Once it's installed, you need to setup your Siri Spire proxy (so... watch this video) then go into settings.app and go into spire and enter your proxy address!

No there is no working spire proxy server yet.

As it stands only 10 people could use any given proxy server so as soon as one goes public it will be full in seconds and will probably be quickly blocked by Apple.

Even if a working proxy server does spring up somewhere you are then sending all of your personal info to someone who you do not know and could be using your personal details and your phone for criminal activities.

For those trying to use this with windows. All you have to do is get a VMware version of unbuntu running on your PC just like the video is doing with a MAC.

@jpearson127 Download LiLi, Linux live usb creator, use it to make an Ubuntu Live thumbdrive, be sure to check "make this drive bootable in windows" it warns you that virtual box is required to do so. When your drive is finished simply open it and look for the file "virtualize this drive" and run it. Your Ubuntu Live drive will open in virtual box, choose "Try Ubuntu", let it boot, continue tutorial...

@xshootertilidie Theres nothing to download, unless you mean ubuntu and the virtual machine software, theres no reason or way that could possibly remove siri from your phone....But if you really lost siri then do a fresh restore of ios.

@OGDEMOLISHER Yeah, the server has to be running at all times if you are using Spire. If you have an iPhone 4S you can use Siri like normal, but you wouldn't be able to use the tweaks that you have installed to your proxy.

@iVlogsForYou I had that problem before, I solved it by software center update , and start from beginning. when I restart from command 1, there were two new packages installed. if that happened that's a good news. then just continue and the problem is solved( remember to delete the siriproxy folder and the ./siriproxy before you reinstall them)

@Estonian777777 watch the video, you put this stuff on your computer to run a proxy server to allow siri to work on unsupported devices. unless you already own a 4s its useless anyway because you need the authentication certificates from a 4s, unless you know someone who will give you one but it needs to be updated every 24hours. There is NO other way to get siri working on an unofficial device. I just want a siri proxy so i can issue commands to my computer.

To all rackspace cloud users trying to do this, when you first type rvm install 1.9.3, it says its not installed and to run an apt-get command. DONT RUN THE COMMAND! Just do a SOFT restart on your server. Log back on, and try again.

i ran the 4th command and i got something completely different than what you got, mines saying like.. downloading RVM from wayneeseguin branch master and says its upgrading the RVM installation in /home/user/.rvm then in the end says thank you for using RVM i sincerely hope that RVM helps to make your life easier and more enjoyable, am i doing anything wrong?
