i accidentally found this song while searching for everything about schiele (he is probably my favourite artist), and just like schiele's artwork deeply touches my heart, so does rachel's music, softly twisting with the images. one of the best discoveries i have ever made on the internet
this is the type of music the world has been loosing, and with it, it's been loosing it self, piano, cello, violins, instruments that no matter what, will never loose their striking power to overwhelm someone with memories of what one used to be, or love...
Yes - one of the best songs ever. This song has moved me ever since the first time I heard it over 10 years ago. It reminds me of when my mom was alive. The whole album is amazing - if you don't have it, buy it!
I listen to Rachel's quite often, love it. I wish radio stations would play more music like this. The problem is radio stations only play what the majority of people want to hear. Most good music takes time to get into and I guess a lot of people just can't be bothered...
Beautiful song, beautiful video. Makes me wanna go back to the 30s to see what was like -so difficult times, but also so smart, so...something! But who was Egon Schiele? :)
Egon was something of an expressionist painter from Austria. Beautifully unpleasant portraits. This is one the Rachel's best albums, even if it only has three of the members. I could listen to this, and have listened to it throughout an entire day, over and over. It's very powerful. It's no wonder they commissioned stuff for ballet's- it has such elegance. so much languid grace, such expressive movement. my mind wanders...
This is really nice, and I love Rachel's. This is my favorite song on Music for Egon Schiele.. I just wish the quality of the song you used was a little better... it has these harsh overtones to it. Otherwise, awesome.
Thanks so much for the comment, I too often feel that Rachel's music has become lost in this world, but reading your words makes me think otherwise, thank you again for commenting.
The violin just adds that oomph to this song, the violin is the most heart-wrenching sound to me, but it's still such a wonderful instrument.

Such melancholic simplicity expels a grandiose beauty... Thanks for posting a magnificent song and video. :)
