Yes, a really heart felt love song pure and simple for someone torn between two lovers (for male or female), I agree this original is the better version, and for the comments that Joan sounds like a man, they should listen to some of her other great earlier stuff like "Love and Affection" "Down to Zero" and "Willow" a brillant artist that never really got the fame she deserves :-)

Ahhh, memories. Joan has a song for all occasions. I've seen her in concert 4 times in the 80's and 90's, the best was at Red Rocks outside of Denver. If you ever have the chance, DO IT! She sang Van Morrison's "Moon Dance". Just her and her guitar on stage and a beautiful full moon as a back drop. I will never forget it. Love you Joan, All your albums are in my IPOD!
