I think Sheer Heart Attack was a better album than A Night at the Opera. Sheer Heart Attack didn´t have a Bohemian Rhapsody but it contained many good songs. Some of the songs of A Night of the Opera were a little over the top.
Yes to have a name in USA is very difficult to any foreign artist.
@FinnMove Part of the problem is media lock-out (US market is so saturated & i don't think they ever had an effective plan to carve a niche other than the comfy spot of hard/metal rock), & too much versatility with confusing brand image. I was shocked hunkering down to their catalog, & discovering the wfew radio hits that got US airplay - were by the SAME band! also NO idea they're the same from 70s/80s:P in 90s grunge/U2 etc had a deathgrip on RS & all them zines too.
I hope to God Roger's girlfriend wasn't listening to this, the bit from 6:47 was rather blunt.
