  • Too bad she died so young. At least, she didn't see the ultimate defeat of her people.

  • if somebody speaks cheyenne language ,please write me a message ,I really need to translate a few words and phrases.(From english to cheyenne) this is very important to me!

  • It is told that she is the one that killed Custer! Seems fitting.

  • @WhiteStarWoman No one is really sure who killed George Custer - that morning he had cut his hair and changed from his usual clothes - his brother Tom who was with him, had long hair and wore a colorful outfit was assumed to be Son of the Morning Star by many of the warriors and many counted coup and his body was somewhat mutilated when found - recent oral Tsistsistas history says it was her that killed Custer (but which one) - George Custer's body was not mutilated and interestingly enough...

  • @WhiteStarWoman - back in the 1920s, two older Tsistsistas women spoke about recognizing George Custer's body on the battleground and not allowing any mutilation, telling the warriors that he was a relative of their's (because of his Tsistsistas wife - but that's another story :) Some women did fight with the men. A friend of mine has traditional rattle sticks made out of the hooves of the 7th Cav's horses that have been handed down to him, and we have much time researching the battle - Washte.

  • Good video.

U are forgeting some details about this battle. there were also Crow scouts and Shoshone warriors there helping the US Calvary and Crook. The Shoshone helped save Crook from being completly run over by the Lakota Warriors at one point...

  • is this battle what the movie "Gray Eagle" is based off of?
