there are so many players that are considered to have the potential to be the next Federer...
Gasquet (baby Federer), Dimitrov, and even Baghdatis in 2006 (the apprentice to Federer's sorcerer)
but this is the part of game that no one will ever emulate, Federer's incredible reflex and his ability to return big serves (Roddick, Ivanisevic, Karlovic, Lopez... etc)
karlovic was not broken in wimbledon 2009 until this match, the last two matches he played, he beat two top-10 players (tsonga and verdasco) without facing a single breakpoint...
How grass-court tennis should be played...low bouncing, huge serves, volleying, fast points..... fuck you all who don't appreciate the 'old school' days of tennis :D
@hattrickster33 That's Federer for ya, he'll be losing right till the end, and then he'll take right from under you.... Recent example, Aussie Open Fed v Karlovic 1st set tie break...
lets try not to be so conservative huh? all styles have their own individual beauty. Whether it be the serve and volleyist, baseline juggernaut, or whatever combination of the two in between. Old school, new school, whatever, the way you play is dictated by the technology used, the professional players style you watch, or hopefully the style most suitable for your own physical abilities. Yes, i did make up the word "volleyist"
@thetennisguy100 It's not boring , it's a combination of one of the fastest servers in the world vs one of the best returners and shot maker in the game, which always leads to short rallies...
omg how retarde is this video, just showing points from federer...

Love watching Fed return huge serves like this. His reflexes constantly amaze me.

The point at 0:39 looked very similar to his match point against Sampras in 2001.

@thetennisguy100 You must be a new school tennis fan. This is tennis. This is what makes the game great. Not boring baseline rallies.
