I know how you felt when you found the diamonds and when you lost them, happen to me once before :'(. Please make sure you take a stack of dirt or gravel with you to plug up source blocks with, or even make iron buckets and pick up the source with it. I like to make buckets and pick up water with it and place it in lava source blocks which turns it into stone (makes it safe to walk on) ^.^ and with gold you can make gold tools, armor, booster rails. The same thing with iron and diamonds.

I still scream but you have to remember that the first rule of diamonds is that you mine them then you either make a chest and store them while you keep exploring or you get the heck out of there. Keep going, house looks great!

Gold is good for clocks, you put it in a circle with one redstone in the middle. It also can be made as a tool which breaks things real fast but doesn't last long.

You can make pickaxes,shovels,axes, swords, and armor out of gold. The problem being that gold breaks really fast. I suggest you use it to make a clock. Put the golden ingots in a cross formation and put in the center redstone. ( A mineral you'll probably find later.)

Great tip: Always bring a bucket of water with you when you mine for obsidian, that way when you find diamond, you already have a whole obsidian farm.

@Keralis 1st rule in minecraft: NEVER mine right under yourself, you will fall into a lave if it's under you. Use shift button to feel safe when you walk right next to the lava(hold it, you won't fall down). Make a thing with water to put water on to a lava to don't make bridges of cobblestone. Great video!

the house is amazing! Noob tips: watch your hunger bar and stay at full health is a good way not to die. Learn to block with your sword, this will make creeper attacks much more bearable. Keep the episodes coming, this is a great LP.

As for your question about gold. You can use it for tools and armor but it's pretty useless since they break very fast. The best way to use gold is a clock and powered rail.

lava and water are being formed by sourceblocks, these give infinit lava or water. So if u cose that one off, the stream goes too :)
