Yes, and no. There is only so much armor a rotary-winged aircraft can carry and still be able to fly. I saw one up close at an air show and was taken aback by how small and delicate it looked close up. I know, I know, there's all this stuff written about how it can withstand hits up to 23mm but theory and practice are very different.

Killing in the defense of ones self or others is not murder, its self defense or the defense of others and hence not a violation of one of the Christian Ten Commandments. When the wars end, they need to be able to come home and be normal people - my grandfather was a good soldier, but he was not born to be a killer, nor was he trained to be one. He was a radio official - he still took lives on several occasions, and it haunted him forever. I just want our soldiers to know the gravity of claiming another life.

Does it make troops from Europe less efficient because they aren't killers from birth? No.

The only problem I have with women being in the army is that they run the risk of being raped. Rape is very traumatic and on the battle feild it's used a phsyhological weapon and typically is much worse. I dont like people going through large scale traumas like that, and me for me that is why I personally feal that the battlefeild is not a place for women. Not becuase they arent strong enough to be there but becuase the risks are much higher. Coudos to those who take the risk I respect u :)

Everyone is blowing this out of proportion. Women are not front line material; small body built, more sensitive nerves (lower pain threshold) and have naturally smaller muscles than men.

I'm from Canada, went to the Daytona 500 (not a hick/hillbilly although I seen some pretty stereo typical yanky yee haw characters) and met some wonderful, very passionate, well educated and career driven millitary cadets, one of whom was a female trying to become an apache. I was plesently surprised as to her wit, ambition and desire to fly one of these beautifully crafted reapers of death. Girl power with a set of balls... Love it.

@santasubsify Well you got 50% right, the Bible says :"Thou shall not Murder." The word murder is used in the Greek form of unjustified killing. Killing in the defense of ones self or others is not murder, its self defense or the defense of others and hence not a violation of one of the Christian Ten Commandments. Remember that when these things were written (That part of the Bible, they also still believed that it was OK :an Eye for an Eye" type of punishment.

Nothing in the Bible tells man not to kill animals for food, and in fact old testament talks of animal sacrifices to God and what to eat. Something not done anymore. Nice try but sorry, nothing in the Bible prevents humans from eating animals.

That's the biggest problem with our (America's) military - our troops should have a requirement for entry that ensures they are intelligent enough to understand the mission, and morally responsible enough to avoid killing civilians at all costs, as well as acknowledging and professionally respecting the act of killing in war. Taking a life should not be tossed around so lightly, Taliban or not.

KIlling for a soldier is their job, its hard for people to understand that its what they train to do, and when finally allowed to do it, they do it well. Its like a race horse training for years to run , and never being allowed to run a track, and when finally turned out on a track, they run and run well. Thats what they do.

@3rdID8487 That's my issue with it. Soldiers are people first, killers second. When the wars end, they need to be able to come home and be normal people - my grandfather was a good soldier, but he was not born to be a killer, nor was he trained to be one. He was a radio official - he still took lives on several occasions, and it haunted him forever. I just want our soldiers to know the gravity of claiming another life.

The fact is that the U.S. military does not do enough to ensure the stability or recovery of its troops, nor does it act selectively enough in deciding who to let in, but more importantly, who to keep out. The UK, Germany, Sweden, etc., have excellent troops that are held to much higher ethical standards of behavior, and it shows. Does it make troops from Europe less efficient because they aren't killers from birth? No.

The only problem I have with women being in the army is that they run the risk of being raped. Rape is very traumatic and on the battle feild it's used a phsyhological weapon and typically is much worse. I dont like people going through large scale traumas like that, and me for me that is why I personally feal that the battlefeild is not a place for women. Not becuase they arent strong enough to be there but becuase the risks are much higher. Coudos to those who take the risk I respect u :)

im not a marine and no one in my family is currently serving but nothing pisses me off more than people who cant show a little bit of respect. if you can't respect people who are willing to put their lives on the line for you then who can you respect? i find it embarrassing honestly that we do not honor our troops. get a life instead of sitting there disgracing the people who are working so hard to protect you and your freedom. thank you everyone for your service

Here is the problem.. Let me see women in the field for days on end, lying in the mud, or swamps.. Sleeping on there rucks.. Women have a physical matter that needs attention at a minimum of once a month.. I have heard females talk the talk about being a soldier and then run and get pregnant when it came time for an unit alert. I know that there are women out here that can do it but, do we wanna really send women into the front lines..

I think this video is stupid because they act like she is the only female pilot there. That is false. My aunt flew blackhawk medevac choppers in the First Gulf War twenty years ago. Now dont get me wrong I support the woman in this video but the way it was made was very misleading and I believe some people dont understand that.

@scspartan2 Exactly. Whoopity do, a chick can fly a helicopter. Rate/praise pilots by how they fly, dont rate them on the fact a woman is the pilot. It is common place for a females to be aviators now, there are no more epic barriers that have to be crossed to become one. BTW..Im not knocking the pilot in this vid. She may be a great pilot she, might be a mediocre one...but making a video solely on the fact she is female is garbage. And yes...there are more then just a "handful" flying the 64

Its not that women are not capable of pulling a trigger. Naturally men try and protect women and are more likely to put themselves in harms way in order to do so. Though we have had casualties in this war it is nowhere on the scale as previous wars such as WWI, WWII and Vietnam. What do you think the public's reaction would be to 5,000-10,000 women dying in a single battle and no men were killed.

Men have the ability to stuff their emotions and get the job done...I don't know a women in the world who could shoot the 6 year old girl running at them with C4 strapped to her chest. I AM NOT saying women are lesser, in fact women are in most ways Superior, but war is not one of them men have been going to war since the dawn of time. You have no idea what women would do unless your a women. Did you watch the video responses to this video? Obviously not. If a women trains and wants to go in combat let her. I for one am professional enough to let her do her job just like I would let a man, I would treat them no different.

Even putting together an all female special forces unit just for those special occasions. The Amazon Brigade is a thought for a name for them.

@3rdID8487 Being out in combat is very physical. Carry rucks, and other equipment. You cherry picked one women. The vast majority of female soldiers wouldn't do that. They could have a selection course for females to make sure they are combat capable, but even then, it could be very distracting. A man is going to protect a women over a man, plain and simple. Men are stronger than women, it's just that simple.

Its nothing new to have females in war but for me in combat they likely to cause males to take inordinate risk to support them more than they do with male collegues this increases the chance of KIA also however you cut it get the best toughest female foot soldiers and put them against their male conterparts and in a physical match they will fail its just a fact of nature.

All of you that think women can not be in combat have not watched the video response to this video I posted. The FEMALE MP was one fo 10 MPs that fouhgt off 200 insurgents and killed and wounded many. She fought next to a male MP and engaged in close quarter battle, killing several. She fought as hard as the male and did what was needed. She was awared the Silver Star with Valor! First women since WW2 to get one!! Females can and do fight and WIN. Get over it.
