@Phi1618033 I haven't read the book, but this is what happens when Disney gets a hold of stories. It's always a happy ending! I think happy endings are too common....XD There needs to be some depressing endings, or some sort of twist to an ending!!!

I think the sadists of Disney may have had similar thoughts. If you think of the entire Disney franchise as a single movie, you have a slew of masterpieces which gradually build up to... HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! I can't imagine a more depressing ending than that.

@salamace7 Don't act like Disney was always golden before today. They had their ups and downs throughout their history. Remember Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo? Superdad? Monkeys, Go Home!? Son of Flubber? No? Those were all bad, unmemorable movies (mostly live action) that Disney made way back when. In fact, the stinkers actually outweigh the gems by a wide ratio, even in the golden age. Just look up list of Disney feature films on Google.
