  • Go get the series buy it or rent it.You will find that it was way ahead of its time not only in content but the effects, and how funny it is But what the shows were about still fascinates me

  • Coke still hadnt changed its formula when Max began, right?

  • He actually sings well.

  • has anyone got the song max headroom did "new york"? it was from the cinemax era

  • they brought starsky and hutch back, the same for the dukes of hazard and the night rider, and did it got any better? No, so please never ever bring max back, because i'm sure that they would fuck that up too.

What's next? a re-make of vegas, magnum, streets of san fransisco, kojak,

jake and the fat man, rip tide, the green hornet, the saint??????????

  • Yeah bring back Max, not a CGI one though that would be rubbish - but definitely with the awesome Matt Frewer.

  • Omg im gonna make a facebook group saying BRING MAX HEADROOM BACK!!!

  • k.

    I will join

  • he look like Ray Charles!

  • they should bring Max back. seriously

  • if they did, he would be cgi. it would be shit.

  • might ad some fcking culture to television for once.

  • HAHAHA sw sw sw ag ag Errrrrr

  • I wonder what sort of computer was used in the 3d modeling.

the world sure took a different turn than what I thought it would be like.

    wtf happened...

  • Max Headroom himself was actually just a guy in a rubber mask with a fiberglass suit and plenty of video and audio editing.

I personally don't so much mind the modern world

  • A commodore amiga was use to generate the background.

  • No computers were used at all to generate Max Headroom. Even the bakground was done with standard cell animation.

  • None. It was all live action, costume and makeup, and devlish wicked editing.

  • Actually they didnt use any 3d modeling. All they did to make max look computer animated was they put a rubber mask with make-up. Then they put a fiber glass jacket to make his clothes look computer animated. I know this for a fact.

  • This is correct. I think Matt Frewer said that the makeup took something like 2 hours to put on each day. The only thing that was done with a computer was the editing. I think Matt Frewer said they'd cut out about 1 out of every 5 frames or something like that, and added the stuttering effects, to make it seem like the "computer" couldn't keep up with the "software", the software being Max himself, of course. I always figured the idea was that Max's ego is so big, it causes the OS to hang up.

  • My dads got quite alot of s-s-s-swagger.

  • the episode had jerry hall (mick jagger's) girl friend at the time

  • im looking for max headroom's funny song about new york

  • There was even more Max Headroom stuff online about a year ago but VIACOM came through and wiped a lot of it out. It's been slowly appearing again. I like Max Headroom's CINEMAX stuff too.

  • Love the white Wayfarers.

  • is it really his singing??

  • Oooh, good question. I'm not sure, but I think it is (Matt Frewer).

  • well, thankyou, matt is actually one of the greatest actors i've ever seen, but now he also seems to be a good singer as well :o))) thank you for uploading.

  • @r0bar00 Yes, Max Headroom was pretty much the beginning of Matt Frewer's career. At least it gave him one helluva kick start.

  • Yes, it's him.

  • @StellaSabian yep

  • @StellaSabian Yeah that's him.

  • Sweet! Classic as it gets, Max Headroom!
