  • im 13 weigh 200lbs and i can do over 30 one handed chin ups in a row with perfect form no kipping AND from dead hang using no momentum.

  • that little girls got mad skillz, keep it up, cuz thats the kind of people tht shud be protecting us

  • That's not a one arm pull up - a one arm pull up should only be supported by one arm. When she is holding her right arm with her left arm like that, she is also using her left arm. It's just 5 cm below the right arm, doesn't make much of a difference.

But the pushups are good and well done.

  • I always seem to loose fall sideways doing 1 armed push ups. So I just put claps in between each one instead.

  • Gestapo training

  • jesus she's 8. if youre gonna get on her for her career choicees at 8 and her pullup technique and all this other stuff why not call her out for having fake handcuffs, or not wearing a real fbi uniform? or you could all realize SHES 8!!! IT DOESNT MATTER

  • That girl is strong! You go girl!

  • Nice going! Keep it up, focus on your dream and you will make it.

  • rate this video 5 stars she is only a kid and thats good for her age

  • That's so cute, you keep up the good work sweetie.

  • lol look at that happy face :D

  • lol thats fun, i can do like 25 pull ups and 5 one armed push ups. im 14 and 58kg :P

  • k, not technically the best but hey she is 8. So I have to say two thumbs up for her and keep up the good work. At least she is active and isn't in front a TV or playing video games like I did at her age.

  • that is pretty good for an 8 year old keep workin at it girl u gonna b killin it when u turn 18

  • Why is everyone being so dam critical?

Its just a stupid lil video that a little girl made for her little sister.

It's not meant to be a fitness demonstration or for it to be technically critiqued. Just a cute little video for an 8 year old.

No she doesnt display perfect form on those exercises but that wasnt the point of this video

Don't hate, appreciate. This kid's got game LOL!

She's very cute. FBI agent in the making

I'm looking at you Petzlfan and ke422azn

  • Thanks for the comment, it means a lot to her.

  • plastic cuffs on her belt...

  • she wasn't allowed to get real ones until she was 10.....

  • @julieaydlott that is a good start for a good future nice to know that some people let there kids do cool shit XD

  • Weigh about 40kg and u can do 200 push ups in no time.

  • wow.. nice.. if you wanna be in FBI you should also have broad knowledge about dinosaurs

  • HAHAHA

  • Technically these aren't one-handed.

  • They are one handed... They just aren't one armed

  • technically they aren't even real pull ups, she jumped up when she started and didn't even go half way down, let alone all the way...

  • who cares?? she's 8 years old and if u ask me, that was pretty good

  • that's great in all, but the whole comment about her being in better shape then 90% of the country kinda pissed me off, shes not doing anything everyone couldn't do when they were younger, and everyone who stays even in decent shape can do much more then this when they get older.

My point is that just beacuse its your kid, doesn't make them amazing at everything they do, and trying to brag about it is just obnoxious

  • aggreed.

  • I would LOVE to see the "average" american do 3 dead hang pull ups/chin ups. I can't see it happening.

  • when did i say average, and how did you turn better than 90% into average?

and 3 pull ups isnt any difficult feat, anyone can do it if they choose to work towards it. its absolutely a reachable goal for anyone.

  • for those of you telling us not to debate over what is correct or not, 90% of the country used to be in better shape when they were 70% younger.

    good girl though

  • utterly inspirational criminals beware

  • FBI?b kewl

  • Damn I wouldn't mess with you

  • lol awesome

  • Amazing! i can only do 10 but im 13

  • Very good. I guess america need more kind of that ppl. Keep up the good work and go go FBI ^^

  • who da fuk asked u ????sho offf!!!1

  • Haha aw thats cute :)

  • title was a bit misleading, i was expecting actual one armed pull ups

  • yeah me too, im getting really tired of people calling one handed chins one armed :S

  • Good for you Emily! You show strength, fortitude and discilpline at a young age. More than others who are older than you. Keep going and don't let any negative or rude comments get to. That's part of the mental training you need to maintain a strong focus. Go Girl. All the best!

  • cool i guess

  • More 8 year olds should join the FBI.

  • FBI spend counless hours staring at childporn online ...think twice before letting a little

girl make a contact with those kinds of people.

  • @dirtyclean : WTF Lolilol

  • very cute...

  • Cute talented kid. Just a shame her mother thinks The FBI is a career move for an 8 year old girl.....

  • Just a shame that you pass such a huge judgment on something that Emily is interested in, not her mom. So it's a crime to let your child dress up in something they wanted to do. I'd much rather support her if she wants to join the FBI when she is older rather than what kids in her class are in to in this day and age.

  • Let's see a video of you doing 50 of those. No more, no less.

  • lol the one guy at the top trying to talk like hes tough oo " I can do 50 lol ur fucking 30 years old u fucking deushing bag uve probably been using roids for like 10 years now man ye u gotta alot on that little girl tough guy

  • Those ARE NOT 1 handed pullups. She is pulling with the second hand and she did 1/3 reps. I can do about 50 of those. She is strong, but 1 out of 10 girls her age can do that. No big deal. a real 1 handed pullup means 1 hand behind your back!

  • yeah they are 1-handed chin-ups, retard. a chin-up with a hand behind your back is called a 1-armed chin-up. and why are you trying to be so cocky?

  • I'm not. People don't realize that one handed pullups aren't any more difficult than two handed ones.

  • they're much harder on your wrists

  • Two handed pull up.

  • lolol

  • Damn, that's fucking food for an 8 year old, my 11 year old little brother can't do ONE pullup with both hands let alone a one handed pullup.

Oh, just for clarification, that is not a one ARM pull up, that is, like "chestershithead" said, a one HAND pullup.

  • thats a one HAND pull up!!!!!!

  • who cares! It's a pull up and she's awesome!!!

  • She is a sweetheart. I wish her the best.

  • yeah, go for the FBI, your work-out is totally and completely unbelievable! I hardly can handle push-ups with both arms :) Cute video and you look kinda professional, five stars from me!

  • became ful not to get shot

  • lol

  • hey aaron try working on your abs and core and keep lifting and you should naturally develop good upper body strength. Also try working your shoulders to as that will help.

    best of luck

  • nice one arm pull ups are so hard, i got a vieo of me doing 1 arm push ups tho :)

  • your daughter is so cute! I hink she did a great job too!!! ~ Aly

  • hey i am 14 years old my name is aaron i do train push ups sit ups dumbells jumping jets and stuff but 1 problem is i cant do a single chin up and i need help in training on how to do chin ups because i cant even do 1 if any1 could message me on how to train to do pull ups i would be really happy please help me thx

  • With all the work that you seem to be doin it shouldnt be that hard you should just keep trying im training too, try running that helps too

  • hey can anyone tell me how to train for pull ups i am 14 years old i do train push ups sit ups jumping jets dumbells but i cant do a single chin up i really need help please some1 tell me how to train for it i would be really happy because if i could do a few chin ups i would get gold for my physical fitness test as i do not have problems in other areas so please help me

  • shit give her a break. shes only 8

  • sure, let's have her sit on the coach and eat potato chips playing video games while pounding a liter of soda. why don't you criticize someone who doesn't try.

  • you are silly

  • strong girl...nice----

I know many guys like 18 years old who cant do this...

  • jeeze guys shes 8. no need to criticize her form, most adults cant even do this stuff.

very good, hopes she keeps this stuff up in the future

  • thats not how u do 1 arm push ups-.-

  • I remember losing my first tooth, I was 6 and not familiar with physics. don't try to jump on to moving carousels. But she looks a lot smarter than me : ). Those were the good old days, second grade, I was doing one arm pull ups too, and now I'm happy if I don't get winded walking from one place to another.

  • nooo FBI is too dangerous for girls!!

  • she's a cool little girl.

  • she doesnt look to good but hey im 17 so yeah but she is really strong, way stronger than me or my little sibs, there storng too check them out on my profile. shes an inspiration to girls, that little emily proves that if an 8 year old can do that almost anybody can

  • doesn't look too good? She did just lose her front teeth in this one... She's beautiful, smart and strong :)

  • and cute

  • lol strongkidz account got suspended ahah

  • aww =)

  • that's a future special agent right there :)

i always wish that i started training earlier, keep it up emily!

  • I can't believe she didn't win... But you've got some great some great potential to mold there! FBI FTW! =]

  • She DIDENT win?

Aw, That really sucks, Thats one hell of a girl you got there, to bad she dident win.

I know I CAN'T do one armed push-ups, Nice one

  • Love to see her max out at regular chins just to silence all the bull sh---ers. But I will sleep a lot safer when I know she is in the FBI and kicking terrorist ass. You go grrrll!!

  • She's training.... and we'll post another video soon! You made Emily's day with your post! Thanks so much :)

  • Hope she is still training hard on those chins and pushups and situps. At her age she should use high rep bodyweight exercises and avoid weights till she is nearer to full grown. Give us an update. Girls need to show up the guys once in a while. keeps em humble.

  • PT! HU-AH!

    :)

  • Keep it up!:) What she is doing is impressive for someone her age. Let terminology be terminology.

  • This is a real ONE ARM PULLUP.

    youtube . com /watch?v=h1W8tCTd0Ek

  • I agree that this is not a "one arm pull-up" but rather a "one hand chin" and that it should be called a "one hand chin" regardless of the age of the little girl who's performing it. but at the same time it's really just someones video of their precious little girl, that they're proud of, so what is the big figgin deal?

  • if shes not using her other arm, then make another video of her doing a pullup with one arm behind her back. Lets see if she can do one.

  • So cute thats great!!! You are very strong!!! I work with a few 8 year old children and know the average ability. You are way above average! Just one piece of advice make sure you keep it up!

  • Wow, what a strong little girl!

  • Thats not a pullup either. Thats a chinup with a 3 inch ROM.

  • She is fantastic! If only all kids were that motivated and positive... the world would be a much better place. Full respect to the parents; thank you.

  • Thanks! She unfortunately saw the post and is crushed right now thinking she is doing it wrong. Whether it is a one hand pull up or a one armed pull up, she's incredibly strong and dedicated, and I appreciate your defending her! :)

    Julie

  • You can delete his posts- no need to have toxic, negative attitudes on such an inspiring, fantastic clip of such a strong and dedicated athlete! Hooray for Emily! The world's strongest 8 yesr old girl!

  • thats not a 1 arm pullup, she is assisting with the other hand.

  • She's also only 8, are her push ups wrong too?

  • julieaydlott is right. And anyways, she's probably a lot better than you...She does deserve five stars, you know!

Could YOU do one arm pull ups and push ups at eight?

  • Nope, when I was 8, I was able to do 14 pullups. Now I can do 27 pullups, and 10 pullups with 90 pound resistance.

  • bodyspace dot bodybuilding dot com slash ke422azn

  • Is that all!? You need to get the junk out of your trunk. I can do 35 strict and 17 with 90lbs. I weigh in @ 190.

  • This comment was directed at the hateful ke422azn - not directed at Emily who is a true champion & inspiration!

  • Emily did 22 pullups for her physical fitness award test when she was 8. They were correct and full....

  • i am so happy for you! NOT

  • Yeah ok, it's a 'one-hand pull up'. I trust you are no longer confused...

  • one arm does not equal one hand.

One arm = the other hand is dangling.

Using your other arm to pull off your main arm, is really no different than using two arms.

  • Dude - she's only using ONE HAND - that's why it's called a one-handed pull up. And it is VERY DIFFERENT -much more pressure on hand & fingers.

  • Shes using two hands. One hand on the bar. The other hand on her wrist.

The limiting factor in a pullup/chinup is the bicep and the lat muscle stength. If you are using your other hand to hold on to your main hand. You are using the bicep from your 2nd arm. The grip strength is not the limiting factor for a pullup. I can easily grip 300 pounds with one hand since I do over 500 deadlifting.

  • U said it: 'One hand on the bar'- that makes it a 'one hand chin'; that's simply what it's called. Trust me; I can do multiple one-arm chins @ 190lbs- big diff to one-hand chins. We are talking chins here = deadlifting is a totally diff dynamic.

  • You fail comprehension. Both chinups/pullups and deadlifts affect the wrist same way. They both exert a force distal to the body. The wrist is very strong. It can withstrand a force much greater than the bicep and lat muscle can exert.

So whats the relevance? Who cares of its one handed? Holding a body weight with 1 wrist is not a big deal. Doing a pullup with 1 bicep and 1 lat muscle is a very big deal and much different.

  • Btw, smaller people have it easier when it comes to doing pullups. Higher power/to weight ratio. Thats why cyclers who climb hillls are small, thats why ants can lift 10x their body weight. Its because the cross-sectional area of muscle and bone vs the mass of a person increases as you get smaller.

  • and you're complaining why?

  • Yeah, I know all that. I am 6'2" 190lb & can do multiple 1 bicep/1 lat chins. The relevance is that you are dissing an 8 year old for trying to do something positive. Dude, comprehend that! An. Eight. Year. Old. BTW-Big guys would be more efficient if they didn't have huge guts.

  • IF you knew anything about math and physics, you would know bigger you are, the less power to weight ratio you have.

The strength of your muscle is the cross section area. Area = dimension * dimension. Or length ^2

Your mass or body weight is proportional to dimention * dimension * dimention or length ^3

  • A 6 feet tall person, would weigh 8x more than a 3 feet tall person of same dimension. 2x2x2.

But his bone and muscle cross sectional area is only 4x larger. 2x2.

That means, every time you double in dimention, your muscle cross sectional area to body mass ratio goes down by half.

  • While you are spending so much time debating over Emily, and her one "hand" pull ups, whether she is small or not, out of 30 kids in her class, the most pull-ups successfully done for the Presidential test was her 22. The next was 9 by a boy. Two other kids could do 1 pull up. That is pretty sad considering the other 26 couldn't even do one.

  • That is a fantastic effort! Emily is incredible & you are a superb parent for supporting her so nicely. It's wonderful that there are positive thinking people out there who love to share joy. Emily - YOU GO GIRL! Well done! I am amazed at your strength! You are a champion!

  • Hi Marcus this is Emily. Your video was soooo amazing! How fast you went at first, that was so cool. I've never seen anyone do pull ups like that before. Thanks for all the compliments. It makes me feel so much better that someone else out there stands up for someone else rather than themselves. Thank you so much, Emily

  • Hi Emily! Thanks for the nice note. You are a true champ & you a real inspiration to my two daughters, aged 3 & 5- they are fans of your amazing strength exercises clip and are now motivated to start training as well! You are like a super-hero to them! Thank you!

  • To add further insult to injury, Emily was also born with a birth defect in her lower spine which caused her vertebrae to be inverted. So, the fact that she exercises with such dedication is so she can be strong enough to prevent any doctors from cutting her open. So regardless if they are correct or not, she's an incredible little girl with a very strong heart and yes, upper body strength as well!

  • more like: biceps, triceps, brachialis, brachioradialis, pecs, traps(upper, middle, lower), lat, rhomboid(major&minor), teres major, rear delts. are all concentrically involved in vertical pulling, not to mention at least a half a dozen other stabilizing muscles. It's totally possible to perform a one arm pull-up with a detached bicep. In other words bicps really aren't central to pull-ups at all. for some reason every gym body thinks they are which really irritates the hell out of me.

  • also go to the gym and try to grip a 300 lb. BB with one hand. I'll bet my house that you can't. Even if you had a world class grip you wouldn't be able to do it 'easily', definitely no longer than 10 sec. max

  • no she's not, her other hand is resting on her arm. that one arm is doing all the work

  • no, her other arm is pulling off her wrist. its 1000x harder to do a REAL one hand pullup where the other hand is not used.

  • She's my sister, idiot. I should know! I watch her do 50 crunches a minute, and run a mile in less than 8 minutes. oh and let's see, she gets up at six am to do 20 push ups and 10 one arm push ups, EACH ARM. She'll do like 5 one arm chin-ups each arm. and then like 20 chin ups using both hands. oh and BTW by the looks of it, you are just jealous because you couldn't do what she can when you were 8. and one more thing, her spine is not straight, yet she still can do push ups, chin ups, etc.

  • Wow She Is Strong Keep Up The Good Work:)

  • She is AWSOME! I'm so happy to see kids working out instead of sitting on the couch playing video games! At any age, you can always work out and get in better shape! Check out my video; you're never too young or old!

  • Thanks! :) She's a strong one, and very dedicated to her physical fitness. Your video is incredible! I wish I had more upper body strength to handle the pull-ups, but running alone isn't enough!

  • Thx! The best way to start doing pullups is by doing negatives, meaning that you get up on a bench, hold onto the bar, jump up to chin level and try to slowyy bring yourself down to the starting position... thereby using only the negative part of the exercise. You will eventually get stronger, but with a little time and perserverence, you'll get it!!

  • she plays video games too

  • Omg! I am SOO jealous!! I can't even do half a push-up. You so have skills. Follow your dreams and you will be the most UH-mazing FBI ever!!

  • Awesome kido, you're on your way to something great

Keep up the hard work and you'll go far.

  • I wonder what she can do by now?

  • She's a strong tough one... She runs a mile almost every day, does her sit-ups and push ups to keep fit. The sad thing is everything she does is her and I because the schools are so oblivious to physical education they only have PE once a week, and even then, the kids just walk around the playground and are now 7 out of 10 kids are overweight.

  • It's terrible. 2nd and 3rd grade she received the physical fitness award and did I mention she was born with a birth defect in her lower spine which is inverted and her only option is physical exercise or surgery and we both opted for sit-ups and her back rarely goes out anymore. Now the school doesn't even do the award anymore so she was really bummed that she wouldn't be able to get it this year. She can also throw a football like you wouldn't believe, and she's still cute like a girl!!!!

  • How many situps and pushups can she do?

  • She does 25 full push ups and 50 full sit ups when she is exercises, but for the presidential physical fitness test she did 61 sit ups and 22 pull ups. She beat all of the boys... :)

  • Thats is a strong little girl.

  • My little Emmy award! She is a tough cookie and will Rock the FBI!

  • Emmy is so cute. Still trying to get into the FIB.
