  • Excellent video, thanks for posting. My mom will really enjoy this on her new Mp3 for Xmas.

  • @SanMattoma2 your'e a scunt

  • @SanMattoma2

You know what? You're right, this does suck - in a way... this sucks up the attention and appreciation of anyone who's got good taste in classic music that has meaning behind it. And, SanMattoma2, you also suck - every horny dick you can find.

  • hank is great wish i would'of been there in the ol' days

  • Come to think of it, perhaps the opry should humbly apply for membership in the wordwide Hank appreciation society.

  • Why anybody are lobbying for Hank reinstatement to the opry is beyond me. He doesn't belong there. Hank is head and shoulder above today's Nashville glitter and he stands alone at the top in real country lovers' minds both as an artist and as a songwriter. Hank owes the opry nothing, but the opry surely owes Hank everything.

  • Agreed flyingfisurf, today's country sucks balls.

It's unfortunate that jr didnt follow his pappy's footsteps.

Hank III is doing a better job than jr.

  • Agreed that todays musc sucks, but there was a period that Jr made good stuff. In my opinion, Montana Cafe' was his best album. Most people dont even know the album exists. But after that he kinda went down hill with a few exceptions. Shelton is more in line with his grand pa, but he is soo out on the fringe and his religeous beliefs are too radical for my taste. I do like some of his country stuff. I hate his Assjack stuff though.

  • amen hallujah yes omg hank 3 is better than his daddy but not as good as his granddaddy

  • ha ha yeah right tell that to the millions of hank jr. fans

  • I have a warm heart for my wife an kid's ...

  • well done

  • has he been reinstated in the opry yet

  • unfortunatley not.he was dead at just 29 years old. but . those shallow bastards who run the opry have'nt woke'n up yet to the fact that he was the best country music song writer who ever lived..but im afraid it's too late nashville is too far gone!!!!!

  • No. His grandson HW III is lobbying now to have him reinstated.

  • Great Song by Hank Williams

  • Hank had a special genius.

  • Go Opry!

  • original punker. poet extraordinaire. what's happened to country music? tragic.

  • Hank is my hero. I'm glad his music is not lost. It will live on forever.

  • these were tha days

  • the video was really cool. It wasn't done up too much and blended the time nicely.

  • I had an uncle that played with hank and my mom grew up with jr hank is the best

  • GENIUS

  • i love his music,it had meaning with a heartfelt moment for those of us that are 50 and older, god bless our country musicians of past, present and future.loving music till death ,kathy

  • Yep - I could not have said it better

  • King Hank!

  • hank williams was a genius!thanks for posting...

  • hank jr. won,t be the singer his daddy was. i,ll take hank sr. anyday.

  • Jr. won't, but Hank III will be!

  • @aboynamedsue27 amen! He's his granddaddy's ghost!

  • How's this fucking Yank having a go at Aussies, we don't pick fights with Iraq and kill our own people by sending them off to war when they are just kids, just like vietnam, just another big mouthed power hungry fucking obnoxious Yank. So they pumped a few planes into some buildings, now we never hear the end of it

  • Come here and talk your shit. Enjoy the Muslims in your Country. =)

  • The Muslims aint' the problem

  • You guys were in nam too genius.

  • What a scrofulous little cretin.......Using a venue such as this for hurling pubescent insults at someone they never met. It's a rather sad commentary on the intellectual acumen of some internet users.

  • this reminds me of my ex he loves hank williams and he would sing his songs all the time especially hey good looking to me

  • all is good but stick to the performance ....... not some edit version

  • I had no clue that there was a music video for this.

    That's so awesome!

  • This reminds me of my ex girlfriend Annie.

Why Cant I melt her cold, cold heart?

    Hank Williams is GOD

  • The most distinctive voice in country music history.....Hank Sr is pure genius.

  • Few men can sing a song like this.

  • Wonderful video of a mere man who walked around with a great gift from God. What talent and passion. Why can't we get that from any of today's so called artists? Thanks so much for sharing this with the world. Too few people understand what an impact Hank Sr. had on the face of real country music. I really miss that influence in today's offerings.

  • hey nutsack....I bet your white trash? jump off of a bridge and leave us all....please

  • howd you know? and i tried jumping off a bridge once but it wasnt high enough to kill me and i broke my arm...from now on im going to be scared to jump off them.

  • scared - exactly, that's what you are, untermenchen (there's a phrase a piece of crap like you should recognise...). next time, tie a nice short rope round your next, you bigot. you bring nothing but shame on the rest of the human race - go run back to yo momma, she's callin you from your trailer you inbred shit - needs more of your incest lovin

  • hey bro you hurt my feelings. you owe me an apology.

  • but then my guess is you are from texas, the inbred state, so what more can we expect (a yank AND a texan - can't get much more self-loving than that). and btw, your favorites list is pretty pathetic (all pics of dogs - freud would have a lot to say), and it seems, from others' comments on your page, i'm not the only person who thinks you truly are what your name implies, a nutsuck. and i got your apology for you - right here on the end of my right foot, ready to be kicked up your prag ass...

  • and you're from Australia, the nation of convicts; your great-great grandfather probably stole someone's goat in London 150 years ago; I'm sure he'd be proud to see his descendent making a fool of himself on a Hank Williams video lol

  • "we quite happy to chill" lol I guess grammar and insulting skills weren't measured by the HDI or standard of living index, were they? I'm sure Australia came in number one in the most kangaroos and boomerangs per capita as well, unfortunately for you no one cares; Australia will bever be an important country and the fact that you have to go on American country music videos to pick fights is sad!

  • Comment removed

  • themadhaiter84: Where are the great Australian musicians? Too much animal husbandry down under? You should just quit listening to American music and stick to your great country. There's a reason the Brits shipped your ancestors down there.

  • what a great singer and song writer i love this song very much

  • Hank was so great...Thanks for posting this (5*)

    Thanks sessnazx for the share..

  • Perfection!!!

    Thanks for sharing.

  • In spite of the basic equipment used to record this... the quality of 'America's Shakespeare' still shines through....what a talent.....a nashville taxi driver told me that hank was spina bifida and in pain all of his life.....hence the morphine and the booze....Dolly parton said 'I guess he was just too sensitive to live'....a genius who set the whole country thing in motion...building on other greats who'd gone before...still much loved here in England!

  • hey, if you want to see how good a guitarist is, just give him (or her, of course) an old acoustic guitar and nothin else - that's the real test...

  • go listen to tila tequila and hot rods crude fuck song in your favs and leave the real music to the rest of us

  • did i hurt your feelings? oh, you poor little dear... that was kinda the idea you dick. and i can't believe that you went to the effort of looking at my favorites or history or whatever lmfao (you really do have no life, and the name really is fitting...). any person who uses the phrase "niggerlover" (or any other racial epithet, directed at any race, at all, but especially in a public forum) deserves whats coming to them. nutsack, go shag that pitbull of yours - you know you want to...

  • Lovely Song

    Thank You Hank

    Mike.

  • hey universaimusicgroup, can you get rid of the garbage that's been posted by these twinks who appear to be mannerless???? you have control to keep it pleasant. THX.

  • Hello, im a 19 yr old song writer. Im influenced by great artists like this. I just posted a song called "Like a Snake"

    Please give a listen.

  • adoro ; UHAUHAUHAHUSAUHSAUHAS

  • anybody can be missed.

  • I'd much rather see just Hank singing this all the way through instead of the modern crap they've stuck in it. why do they do that? Great song anyway and great to see Hank talking at the start. Thanks for the post.

  • great

  • Amazing, thank you. Hank died January 1st 1953 but is still remembered by the county music fans and industry. I saw the Light , is my favorite one he wrote.

  • luke the drifter was the best of ol' hank!

  • My Dad used to listen to all Hanks songs.......I remember the songs over and over,......in fact my father killed himself listening to this song.....

  • He died in 1967. Long time ago.

  • ever heard of using commas between words?

  • what the hell do i have to do to get people to watch my videos.love ole hank

  • Can you miss someone you've never known?

  • wow. too bad people cant just enjoy the music.

  • Comment removed

  • arguing on the internet just makes you look retarded.

  • People who point that fact out are even more idiotic...

  • "Arguing on the net just makes you look retarded!"

Really?? Does twittering "I'm at the mall" make you look retarded?

Does posting a high school pic on FB make you retarded?

How about uploading a video to YTube of you and your girlfriend at the beach? Retarded too?

What SPECIFICALLY is it about ARGUING that makesit 'retarded' when done on the internet, but OK everywhere else?

    LOL!

    Big Daddy

    The Best

  • FANTASTIC!

  • R.I.P Hank williams

    he was an icon

    no doubt

  • sorry but was an icon?????? no! is an icon!!!!

  • ok

    i think your right

    he is an icon

  • Man, you talk about having it in spades...but sometimes life turns the tables; the only way to write songs that make the heart bleed is to be in great physical pain and great emotional pain. The only one who didn't know how great he was was Hank Williams.

  • reminds me of prison

  • reminds me of when my wife gets home! I'd take prison!

  • MODERN "COUNTRY" MUSIC ?

    B A H, H U M B U G !

  • Wasn't ICOR the name of the cripple in the movie Frankenstien??? Oh....That was Igor....sounds like you got the same intelligence level poser. Don't ever try to pass yourself as one of the people who went over to Nam and did all their country asked of them. They were ignored by the very government that sent them there and wouldn't allow them to win. Who lost Nam....the U.S. Government did. Take this hill then give it back only to take it again. Imagine doing that with Normandy in WW-II.

  • If country was more like this, it probably wouldn't be the subject of todays constant ridicule. Songs like 'Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy' (or whatever it's called) are the scum of the genre and have raped the integrity of this fine music.

  • horsesflu, you're obviously a prude who lacks a sense of humour!

  • Yeah, 'save a horse, ride a cowboy' is sure humorous. It's up there with those super hilarious shirts with sayings and coffee mugs that state 'pobodys nerfect'.

  • Honky Tonk gold, I want a cold beer now...

  • What is going on with all these comments? Hank died before Viet Nam. He is just a good old boy who could write song from the heart and sing them too.

  • He's the king of country, and classic country. And the KING OF ALL MUSIC, R.I.P Hank.

  • Hank Is The King Of All Music !!!

  • War is a crock of shite.

  • Can't believe the posts in here! Goodness, what did this song do to cause so much hatred? Good grief!

  • Thanks so much.

  • this was my first album, i would listen to it for hours and hours.....I was about 6 years old and my parents friends got it for me cuz i always wanted them to play it when we were at their house. back in 1963 or thereabouts.

  • fuck these advertisments

  • Best country love song of all time!

    Thanks for the memories.**********s.

  • Shure beats a bunch of monkeys beating on a drum and calling it music.

  • Shure beats a stupid redneck as*hole commenting on his betters..

  • I assume you call me "boy" because you think I'm black.? That's twice you've been wrong in this thread. Looking at your profile, your age suggests you may be ripe for Obamas suicide counseling. Take advantage of it....Old and stupid is no way to continue a life where you're not wanted.

  • Comment removed

  • You're still breathing? I guess you're just too stupid to take good advice. Now you've proven yourself to be a liar as well. Nobody I know who played in that mud puddle brags about how tough it made them. But you just go ahead and impress us with your KeyBoard Commando BS.

If you served at all, it was probably Stateside as Company Whore. Is that why you're so mad at blacks? Got tired of bending over for them? Or was it Tyrone doing your wife back home?

  • Comment removed

  • Three tours in Nam? Damn, the last two were voluntary, so were you just trying to get yourself killed? I'm a VN vet too, but I stayed Stateside and kept the pussy warm for you guys. Hey, everyone has to do their part.

  • lyin' little punk ass wannabe bitch.....only action you saw was your mamma doin' her pimp daddy Jerome.

BTW it's not ICOR it's "I Corps" . Except I Corps wasn't activated in D'nam. Go ahead and lie some more POS. There IS a law against claiming you served when you didn't bitch.

  • Thats an ass hole thing to say man. Im a patriot, and u should be ashamed to talk to fellow comrades that way!

  • Love him.

  • I am sitting here at my daughter's house on my daughter's computer, and in her account. I thought that I'd look up Hank Williams. I'm too old for such as this or so I thought. My grandfather and Hank Sr.'s father were brothers. There are a lot of stories about him Maybe I'm not too old and should start my own Hank channel. There are many good family stories to be shared. He still has a half sister that lives in Selma, Al. You should really hear them from her.

  • That would be wonderful streetwhereyoulive- from what I understand he packed a lot of living into his short life- I know that many people would appreciate hearing those stories.

  • To huxylady: My aunt Rosa lee said that Hank was a very quiet skinny kid. She visited with my uncle Lonnie and his first wife, Hanks mother, (whom we don't own since she had my uncle committed and left him to rot in a mental hospital for eight years after WW!.) My grandfather finally went up there and took him out almost at gun point. He took my uncle, (his brother home with him and uncle Lonnie started his life over again at WT Smith Lumber Co. as an Engineer. Hank Sr's. Dad loved trains.

  • good song

  • whiteboy blues!!!

If you can't hear the blues in this, or "Blue eyes cryin' in the rain", or "I'm so lonesome I could cry", you ain't got an eardrum in your skull! That's why Hank Jr. calls his daddy "Bluesman"!

  • hank williams: the legend that wont be forgotten. this song is fantastic!!

  • Hank is one of the reasons why i even picked up a guitar.

  • I have everything that Hank Sr ever recorded. Every bit is fantastic!

  • He is one major singer

  • This is REAL country music, not the pseudo pop country music of today

  • correst country today is fake.this is real as the air we breath and the water we drink.

  • Amen. I'd dare Toby Keith and Brad Paisley to even try to sing with this much pure, mournful emotion.

  • your music can grab the heart. love and miss you
