So, is there any method you used for winding the coil? And my port is 12" by 1", a slot port, and it's tuned to ?? Hz. Do you think I'll get a lot of port noise?
When I wind the coil I just wind it slowly and making sure its evenly wrapped for a professional look.
The port would be ok for the homemade sub but for a more powerfull sub would have port noise when it played loud around the tuning frequency. If you want you can make flared ends on the port to stop the noise.
The port I have in this video have port noise when I play the sub at its loudest but I can only hear it within a foot from the port.
i have a question for you: why my homemade sub sounds slowly even with an amplifier?
can you give me an advice?
