Satire of the human race? What are you talking about? These people don't want to see this river destroyed. If that blows your mind, you would probably have an embolism if you knew what John Muir did to save Yosemite or what countless other people have done to preserve that which is currently protected.
This is, unfortunately, nothing more than a misguided and manipulative ploy by the uneducated and uninformed. "The days of destroying things and leaving our children to clean up the mess" ... I'm sorry, but are you even from British Columbia? Have you heard of the proposed Pitt River power project? This video, and the mob-like reaction of the protesters involved really blows my mind. Its a satire of the human race...playing out like a hilarious Simpsons episode.
Hey Shnook, maybe you missed the part where he said: "She's too young to understand what's happening here, but by the time she's old enough to understand it'll be too late." Children need a voice today, while the damage can still be stopped. The days of destroying things and leaving our children to clean up the mess - that's what's pathetic.
Aylea said, "NO" when her dad picked her up. "she is too young..." He shouldn't use her as a pawn. Pathetic. "She wants to give it to you" My ass she does.
