Why can't adults talk to kids like a regular person. That's what I do, and my little cousins like me ten times more than the older people who think they have to talk like retards to get through to them.

Kids can talk normal too without loosing any sense of there childhood. They prefer from my experience. Being funny is fine, but they know when you're being funny and when you're trying to be "get down to there level"
