  • @Datguyjr2010 stock are tuned to do that.

  • your car seems so smooth .... which brunei highway u speed? so i can tell brunei land department to take charge at there :P

  • Hey man nice little subby you have here. Check out my videos and any else of the skeptical people on here on the real potential of a STI.

  • se nota que no hace fuerza el motor gran motor el del subaru1!!!!

  • Any car in the uk is limited to a Law of 155 mph

unless its imported or illigal Delimited

  • wtf ! crazy. LOL...

  • Ideally I would need to change a lot such as the FMIC, internals, HKS v-cams and finally the HKS Fcon V-pro! These would cost me a fortune!!!

So for now, I only can afford a very good tune using the HKS V-pro ECU. We dont have much options here in Brunei :( At the moment we only have 1 shop with a pro tuner from HKS, thats about it.. A re-tune (for future add-ons) would cost me smtg like US$750! (O_o)

  • I wonder how much can I get the GT30R kit ordered hmm... Can I get like under 4sec 0-100km/h time with that kit and the V-pro tune??

Thanks a lot for all the guide and help mate, really appreciate it! :)

get yourself a real tune and you'll easily put down 300+whp. with the pump and fuel regulator, you're only larger injectors away from a bigger turbo...

    gt30r ;) "

Mate, should I just get a turbo or better a turbo kit? I was thinking of the GReddy TD06 25G kit that includes wastegate. REALLY, I dont know a lot about turbos. I am aiming for about 450-480 bhp but I want super responsive one like under 4 secs 0-100km/h!

  • indeed, but that doesn't solve the problem. the vf39 has an unfortunate flaw in that the wastegate can't flow enough to keep boost levels down. porting the wastegate helps this, and while you're doing that, overall flow efficiency of the turbo can be upgraded = more air at the same pressure = more power and no more creep.

not so much a problem here, but it has caused fatal detonation for some people. :(

  • Wahhh.. I didnt know this. Thanks a lot for sharing the info mate. Appreciate it! I wonder if any local mechanics here in my place can do this (O_o)

  • Like i said, yours seems ok, its not creeping really. but others have had the problem.

  • How fast did you get it up to?

  • Well the analog says 260 km/h max speed. I recently installed RSM and that digital gave me 270 km/h ?? Not sure about the accuracy though..

  • Wow dude awesome must have cost a pretty penny lol. Enjoy. And post more vids!! :]

  • Yup! Costs me a lot especially being in a small country, performance parts are expensive as there is not much competition for the dealers! :/

Will try to post more interesting vids. Thanks for ur support! :D

  • VERY NICE!!! Big difference with those mods! What were they?

  • Well I must say I have only done 'basic' mods to it.. TBExhaust, downpipe, EL header, walbro 255 pump, intake, fuel reg, EVC, ECU re-flash. Errr not too 'basic' I guess hehe.. and I still dunno how much HP my car is pushing hahaha..

    Thanks for ur comment! (^-^)

    gt30r ;)

  • Hi mate! I replied ur comment just above :D Need ur advice! Cheers :)

Just recently got an option to use the ECUTEK. The same tuner can do it now. Is it worthy?

  • reply in private message.

  • @U9LyKwaN

Use cobb accessport + protune from a reputable shop

  • @jakubgt1 Unfortunately Cobb is not available locally :( And the car is already sold. Hoping to get a better car :)

  • @U9LyKwaN

But this car is already so awesome !

  • @U9LyKwaN ECUTEK locks your ECU.

  • ok tis is nice man,,,,,

  • thanks bro :)

  • laju keta mu ni bui...lol!

  • hahaha.. biasa2 jer ;)

  • how fast is that i cant tell

  • the max speed is 260km/h, before that is 240, 220, 200, etc.

  • oh im stupid its in the description

  • No ure not mate.. I just added that in the description as well since i've confused u (and i believe others too!).

Sorry and thanks for helping me to improve the description :)

  • But scrap

  • I like your boost gauge a lot. Looks really clean and nice

  • Thanks mate! :D

  • you call from goin from 1 bar to almost 1-5 bar slightly modded??? Love the gauge, the same one excpet in red and in PSI, gay i know, bit nice and looks sick with the STi dash.

  • Well yeah its nothing major.. Only basic mods. And it was 1.25 bar stock boost actually, passed 1.3-1.4bar sometimes at gears 4,5,6. I prefer to keep my car at that stock boost :)

  • That's funny coz the stock boost for my STI '06 is normally 0.7 bar max. and goes down to a constant 0.5 bar. Ain't got boost controller..(so is my defi lying to me?) haha!

  • That is funny indeed! It should be 1.0 bar minimum, bone stock! Mine usually goes to about 1.25 bar & dropped to about 1.0 bar when it was bone stock..

  • I guess ur STi is JDM?????

  • Nahh.. my STi is not JDM but Australian Spec..

And i'm not sure about the 'after & before intercooler' bit for the post below.. jgh0001, u could be right??

  • U guys are problably taking the pressure gauge in diff points, like after and before the Intercooler, that can justify the 0,3 bar diff of u.

  • Haha... must have been a leak. Got it fixed. So glad my boost goes up to 1.25 and down to 1 bar now.. Been having that problem over a year now! LMAO.

  • vf39 boost creep it seems, if you're getting 1.3-1.4. the ecu can adjust for it, but you're best off to port that wastegate.

  • Thanks a lot for the advice mate. I will look into it :) But i tink its quite a common problem with the stock turbo.. hmmm..

  • very common problem with the stock turbo. considering the price of the car, i think its well worth the 150-200 or so it costs to have the wastegate ported. once it flows a little better in there, boost creep is gone.

or if you're brave, you can easily do it yourself. :)

  • Looks like someone loves driving top speed.

This was taken at Seria by-pass i presume.

    It's safe there.

  • Nahh.. I dont love to drive top speed.. Was just checking the difference in acceleration when my car was stock & when it was lightly modded :)

  • it seems that you have a defi turbo gauge mounted on the steering column. i have a defi turbo gauge, oil pressure and oil temprature gauge, in a 3 gauge pod. lovely car.

  • Yeah ure right.. And I have 4 more at the middle in a 4-gauge pod and another at the right hand side at the 'pillar' with a single visor (^-^)

  • damn nice i see that there is another proud STi owner out there

  • Thanks! :) Yes there is.. STI Type RA-R who just won Borneo (Miri) Drag Race Championship with 10.445 sec for the 1/4 mile :)

  • lol nice one..

  • nice hope you were being safe

  • Yea thanks.. Not to promote careless driving or anything of course.. But this was done only on rare occasion & on clear open road. Please do not attempt this on your own without 'safety first' in your head..
