WOW. I can't believe that such a simple technique can make such a HUGE difference. I tried it just singing a single note. I started with my head facing forward and as I turned my up, the air came out smoother and my voice sounded much better. Great advice. I wish I would have known this years ago.
Singing with your head pointed up puts unnecessary stain on your vocal chords and should be avoided, people should try to avoid it when trying to sing higher pitched material also, though we all tend to do it (we all seem to subconsciously think it helps), but if that is the only way you feel comfortable, then do it. That is one of the most important things when recording.
Mutha' Effin Genius... I don't know what I never thought about that, but I guess that is why you are giving the tutorial... I really appreciate that info, bro... Droppin Jewels...
mayne when you sing the sound doesnt just come from the mounth it comes from the noise mounth chets i mean it comes from the person not only from the mounth so you gotto lower da mic. to ur chin and sing . dats the best tech. if im wront tell me im wrong
you guys dont get it. you should sing when recording with your head up about 5 degrees. dont sing looking up at the sky. singing looking down closes your wind pipes a little but with your head up a little it opens your pipes to the maximum. dont listen to these random people that comment the video. listen to the professional recording the video.
what is your track level like? if it is in the reds ( when you hit your high notes) lower your input gain. it might not hurt to put a little compression on the track as well. hope this helps.
You should sing straight on. Never at an up angle. It is completely unnatural and complete BS and will result in you singing like a pipsqueak. Is that how your head is when you talk to people regularly. Sing into the mike that feels most comfortable to you. Whoever came up with this technique should be stoned. Any studio tech that knows anything will tell you this.
Thanks. This is bullshit. Can't believe I tried this for like three months. LOL. I feel stupid now. I never got any knowledge, that's why. So gollible. But you're right, I started singing straight again and it work. Singing with your head up will hurt.
what up my name is toon Im trying to figure out how to record in real time adding plug ins instead of adding plugins after recording...Im recording with pro tools.
