anyone else wonder what it would be like if during the korean war the f-22 or f-35 just apeared and started attacking these guys i mean they would defently think it was a ufo.
So what happened to "Beauteous Butch" 1? I see a "Beauteous Butch II" at :40 and the original at 1:44. And I'm not entirely positive, but I don't think the B-47 was ever used in Korea, even if it was Korean War Era design.
Got to agree with 40thStangGT....... my dad flew the P-51 out of England at 19 and went on to fly the F-86 D (the dog). I liked that one as a kid but when I grew up I found the F model to be the most beautiful aircraft of all time. Go to Amazon and see if they still have DVDs of "The Hunters), a Korean War movie made in the late 50s early 60s. Robert Mitchem is the "Iceman" and Robert Wagner is Lt. Pell, although there isn't enough 86 footage, the dogfight scenes are very well done.
@RyanGallowayRocks It sounds like Tommy Dorsey to me, although I don't know the name of the song. Just look for Tommy Dorsey songs on youtube and you'll probably find it, and then you can ask someone what the name of if it.
Killer Hess,The Hunters,The Bridges of Toko Re were fantastic films I love seeing the Sabre's in action.I also liked Jet Pilot which was sot 49-50 some incredible filmming there too.
Great color pictures of the USAF from the Korean War in Fabulous TECHNICOLOR. And great music from Tommy Dorsey & His Orchestra. Good job, Pilotperson: you've done well. P.S.: Just one question, Pilotperson: What does MCMXIIV really mean? 1913?
@alphonse01 F-82 Twin Mustang, late WWII design that joined two P-51 Mustangs together at the wing and tail to create a twin-engine long range fighter. Used Allisons instead of the Merlin. Since there was still two cockpits, one pilot could spell the other while on long overseas escort missions, leaving one still fresh for combat when they arrived. Never saw combat in WWII, but they used them as night-fighters and other things in Korea. Decent plane, if a bit odd looking.

Unfortunately McConnell was killed testing flying a F-86H after the war.

Joseph McConnell is the top ace of the Korean War and I think he is the lead American jet ace with 16 kills.

Yes it would be 1913 in a slightly odd way because 1913 is usually MCMXIII.
