  • I have a Marshal 40watt amp witch i have been told are quite good but i can't quite get it to make a punk sound or get a decent solo out of it, any tips?

  • Id have it full, fuck my ears

  • ITS A 1/4 INCH PATCH YOU FUCK

  • wow this is for retarded idiots not beginners

  • My amp only has volume, treble and bass. There is a clean/distorted button. My guitar only has volume and 2 tone dials. How do i set my guitar up in this case? Please, i really need help.

  • @xclanbtkx me too

  • I play rhythm in my band and I play most of my songs acoustically on my fender strat (yeah the shitty one) because my amps so shitty. Oh and we need a drummer who can dual petal in the 504 area :P

  • I have the same guitar and amp! But I wish to play guitar like you...:| i have alot to practice.

  • @Beamster420 I know what you mean. It took me forever to save up enough money for it.

  • @Beamster420 Go to Guitar Center's website, and search for these keywords exactly; "Marshall JVM410H, 1960AV, and 1960BV Tube Guitar Full Stack". This is the amp that I have, it sounds freakin great. It's expensive as hell, but worth it.

  • @Beamster420 Do you play Rhythm or Lead guitar?

  • @Beamster420 Late reply, but, Marshall Amps is the way to go.

  • löl_î_fÊÊl_sø_lÖNËlý_tØdÅY

  • dude, nice amp

  • 66.666 views :D

  • i think i need an amplifier to hear you speak

  • hi i have a similar amp (a 15 watt marshall) and it has a clean channel and another one which by the looks of things is just gain. if i turn gain completly off on the other channel though then the amp makes no noise (so long as im on that channel) even when the volume on that channel is up. so i want a bit of that crunch but i dont want it so unbelievely distorted that when i play a chord it sounds like nothing so i dont know what to do :(

  • @skillzdatkillz900 HI, without any gain, there will actually be no sound. If dialing up gain on a small amount isn't getting you what you want, then try adding more gain than you need and rolling the volume of the guitar down. This will give you control over the amount of distortion you can achieve because the more volume going in to the amp, the more gain (distortion) you can create. Like wise - less volume from the guitar = less distortion. Hope that helps x

  • @richarddeyn yeh a bit, but would messin around with eq bass and treble help at all to get a nice tone like 60/70s rock tone like hendrix for example?

  • @richarddeyn ok i have a crate gx-15 i want to set it up for crisp blues how?

  • that's really helpful thanks a lot SIR ! I am a beginner and I just learned how to play the chords on an acoustic guitar. My friends says that I am doing really well. So I am planning to buy a new guitar and I really want to have an electric one. I want your advice as a profissional. Shall I get a semi-electric ? or an electric one ? which brand do you suggest a beginner and what amp ? thanks again :)

  • thnx u taught me heaps

  • Sorry this iPhone does that sometimes. But like I was saying I just got my first electric guitar & I don't know anything about them. And I was wondering

  • Hi I just got my first electric guitar & i don't know anything

  • @qtae2003 If you're just starting out on the guitar, I highly suggest you check out videos by Justin Sandercoe, he's a great teacher!

  • thumbs up for the demo clip. :D

  • i just got an electric guitar and amp but when i plug everything in, turn the amp on i get no sound. im extremely new to how to work the amp but it seemed pretty simple, plug in amp to wall, plug in guitar to amp. anyone have advice?

  • @Deast626 is de volume on your guitar turned up??

  • @Deast626

Check the volume knob on your guitar, check the volume on your amp and be sure to make sure your instrument cable is in good shape

  • all you tell us is what everything does. and not how to really set it

  • @xblackvirus of course if you know what it does you'll know how to tweak it..

  • i have a begringer gx212, what setting do you suggested?

  • Hello, Iam curious about buying electric guitars, Ive been playing classical guitar for long time...

Do you think its good to start with a Cort G254? Or any low priced good performance guitar, can you prefer me some fine amp, with which I can make distortions?

    Thx

  • Show Off Much Haha ? Nice Vid Though Man

  • Heyy man good vid...i cheked it out because i just got a amp THUNDER PG-10 15 Watt amp also with the boost Button wich equals distortion but since i didnt know how to work the amp's setting i viewed this and helped alot thanx!!!

do u have to have an amp to play the guitar?

    please reply

  • @timbertime09 no but its a better sound

  • @timbertime09 , nahh mate, u can play a guitar without using an amp, the amp is used to amplify the sound of the guitar and stuff :)

  • CRANK IT UP TO 11 MOTHER FUCKERS!!

  • you have a dean amp also yes?

  • Hi, good sound from this little amp, What is that amp?

  • @andydotcum

Its made by DEAN. Not sure the model.

  • I think its Dean M-10, i think they call it Dean mean or something. Its the exact amp im gonna buy tomorrow actually lol

  • @andydotcum

    It's Dean M-10 amp.

  • Thanks alot!

Nice guitar too, what is it, looks like a stratocaster

  • @LilRiiiicoo

    Thank you.

I have had many complimnts about this guitar. It's a FENDER RICHIE SAMBORA MODEL FROM 1993. Very cool guitar with amazing versatility. Shame I sold it recently :-(

  • What a fucking tool.

  • no, its a guitar !

  • @richarddeyn No,you're a fucking tool, who is trying to fool people into buying your piece of shit program. There is no 28 day routine in the world that can bypass years of hard work.Great guitarists are great because they work on their skills for years, not because they used some hack's 28 day program.I would say stop robbing people of their hard-earned money, but I know better : No one's buying your crap.

  • @TehOmniverse thanks for the insight and your deeply considered words of wisdom. Shame you wrote them when you were on your period though. It took me many years to develop the technologies in this program and a little research would have shown you I know what I am doing. Slander is a risky business...

  • @richarddeyn It took you many years to develop a scam?

  • @richarddeyn your switch is shorted out buy new amp that happend to me 2 days ago lol i got an awsome amp now

  • @TehOmniverse OWNED!

  • brilliant guitar u got there

  • except for the Floyd rose kahler owns

  • There's this bass cabinet that I'm looking at. It has 4 ohms, and I understand that I need an amp head that can put out 4 ohms. But the cab has a Power (RMS) 800W and Power (Program) 1600W. What do both of these mean, and which one should I be more concerned with when choosing the right amp head?

  • what a sick fender strat thats the richie sambora right

  • can you please send me the tabs for the thing your playing during this vid?

  • @BelialUK

no idea, but i think it might be the cable cuz my headphones buzz to when i plug them in to the amp

  • @infinitylords You probably have P90 pickups, try buying some new cables, if you got some cheap cables they probably will crap out after a while, if you can't here your guitar it's most likely the cables, I'd try buying some new cables, if your amp still has the buzz get a noise gate which behingers are about $20 Us dollars.

  • Hi there, whenever I put my amp on (Marshall) and plug everything in and switch it on I get this horrible buzzing sound and can't get it to sound clean. Anybody have any ideas?

  • Try buying The Basic Yamaha Amp. Or Buy Any Amp With A Clean And Overdrive Switch

  • I do have both switches, but it's whenever I switch overdrive/distortion on there's a humming sound and I'm not sure how to get rid of that

  • @Seanpatrick2662

same here, but the things below doesn't work

    ideas?

  • @Seanpatrick2662 Hi, check your lead/get a new one and check the jack on the guitar :)

  • @Seanpatrick2662 your gain might be up to high

  • @Seanpatrick2662 i have the same prob. and today i was going to play some and i plugged it up and the amp shut off and wont come back on, does it have to do with the fact that i was playing on it all day with the volume all the way up?

  • @Seanpatrick2662 trie plugging in the chord then turning on

  • Playin through that horrifying little amp when you've got that beautiful beast you could be using. Those little shit amps should be outlawed. All they do is make new players leave their guitars on its stand. It doesn't sound like anything that made them want to play in the first place

  • Hey i just got a epiphone guitar pack with amp. its a epiphone studio 15r and i do not get this thing. Im new to this so any help would be appreciated.

  • how do i put distortion and gain in if my amp only has tube stack volume and eq knobs

  • thanks man! this really helped

  • hi nice video. anyway i just got a electric guitar unpacked it followed the instructions but when i trun on amp and put in cables to guitar and amp it donsnt work. and the amp always makes a loud bass sound even if only the volume is up a bit and everything else is at 0. any help plx thanks?

  • what if my hook up to the guitar doesnt fit? like i plug in my cord to my guitar it keeps on falling off?? how do i fix that?

  • Can you be a little more specific? Cheers

  • I'm a complete novice, so this has really helped me. I tried twiggleing the knobs but I found it hard to get a decent sound of it. Cheer's dude, five stars.

  • Hi! Does anyone know where I can but that DVD Course? Many thanks Bart

  • haha thanks this really good!

  • i have an acustic electric guitar and my amp dsent have a gain dial is thear any outher way to get destorshon?

  • im a newbie to guitars and is the amp the only thing you need? wats a pedal?

  • hi,

yes, you only need an amp. IN fact, you dont even need that if you have a guitar and you just want to get strumming! It just wont be very loud!

A pedal is a small unit you sit on the floor and plug your guitar in to it and then another lead goes from the pedal to the amp. The pedal changes (or effects) the sound of the guitar. You can have Delay (echo), chorus, wah, distortion, the list goes on and on. Hope that helps you out and good luck along the journey x

  • soulxreaper go to school man, you sound like one of the most uneducated people this site has ever come across

  • Well this video would have really helped me way back when I started playing guitar and bass.

  • okay, i cant seem to get my amp started, i dnt understand, i hooked up da wire to my guitar and to da amp, but it doesnt make a difference

  • Is there a standby switch on your amp? Make sure your guitar volume is up all the way.

  • Lol well i feel very stupid now, i got it, there was another wire that u gotta hook up to the switch on the wall...lol but i didn't see it cause it had fallen under da box of the guitar..hehe

  • wow... are you serious?? that is honestly one of the top 25 stupidest things i've ever heard or read in my life.

obviously an ELECTRIC guitar amplifier needs ELECTRICITY.

  • Yu know what, yu can keep yer "25" stupidest things to yerself, Da amp dat i got was fucked up, and i got a new one soooooo basically yu need to shut da hell up and keep yer 25 things to yerself dumbass, i don't post comments to b insulted i post em cuz i need to kno, i wudnt kno cuz i was never interested in living my lyf bein a punked out rock star or anything

  • what the hell does getting a new amp have to do with knowing that an amp needs to be plugged into an outlet, you fucking imbecile. punked out rock star? it's my hobby dumbass, plus i played at my high school so i wasn't a punked out rock star.

quit being a pussy and accept that fact that you're a dumbass. you didn't know an amp had to be plugged in to work, that makes you a fucktard.

  • You know what, I might be a fucktard? But look at yourself, fighting with a girl? no no let me be more specific, FIGHTING WITH SOMEONE OVER THE INTERNET, you need to add that to your 25 stupidest things, Number one! I don't got time for you, pathetic bastard, Is that the way you talk to your mom? Because if not then you need to tell her that bullshit before you come charging like that on someone like me

  • i have the same problem, since its been 2 months i imagine u figured it out,

can u tell me what u did

  • Yeah well for one thing i figured out im a REAL big retard, theyrs two wires, both go into the amp and one end goes into your guitar one goes into the wall, the switch on your wall, lol its hard to explain and my amp still didn't work, and if it doesn't then try to turn on the button or mess around wit it a bit, if it still doesnt work its screwed i figured dat wit mines and i got a new one im not sure how to fix a amp, but yu can search it up

  • by any chance, i ur quitar a 222 First Act?

my amp buzes, when i touch the coords it makes a sound, but only a diff buzz (and if u use a pick nothin happens)

  • yeepp wow, we have the same one then okay I'm really not going to understand your problem unless i see whats wrong....do you got your amp set up though? like two wires going into the amp and then one hooked to the guitar and one in the wall? and if you do and it still making that noise, maybe your wire [the one that goes in the guitar] myt be a little messed up or loose try holding it tighter in the guitar tell me if dat works if it doesn't ill go in details to help ya

  • hahaha, it first act blows, i got it back to the store (i tried it there of course) now it works,

i think they keep falkin the amp desing, kinda hard to build the electric guitar wrong

oh well, least i got something to do other that sports an video games now, and its cheap(by comparison)

  • yepp lol

  • Hey dude,is the noise that you're talking about is like the buzzing problem?Coz I'm having a problem with the buzzing thing and it's really annoying especially when I switched it to distortion!!!

  • No, when i switched the amp on, no sound came, the guitar sounded like crap, and you could barely hear it and all, mine turned out broken thats why i got it exchanged but thanks

  • ahhh,so that's your problem huh.Well clearly it's different than mine....Mine was like the amp were making an electric buzz kinda thing which is kinda annoying lol....I think the problem is the cable.....

  • It can be one of a few things.... Broken guitar cable, loose jack socket on amp or guitar, broken solder in guitar. If its not any of those, take the earth lead off the amp power cable! Could even be a dimmer switch in the room or a fluorescent light bulb. LOL It's gotta be one of them... good luck...

  • Ok,thanx for the info :-)

  • Hahaha! I got one of those when I first started. I had it for about three months. That was all I could take. I went and bought a Marshal amp, and an Epiphone Les Paul.

  • i have a peavy vyper 15 can u give me something for like a alt rock

and everything else like blues, country evrything

    thanks

  • i was so close to gettint hat amp today but ot a peavy vyper can u do a video for that amp and explain all the settings

  • Hey man, I have a Laney 120GC amp, and I can't seem to find the right settings for a good rock / hard rock sound, any suggestions would be very highly appreciated, thank you.

  • low/bass in between 6 and 8, mids from 2 to 5, high all the way up, and gain around 5 for a twang, 8 for rock, and crank it to 10 for hard rock and metal

  • noob question: i have a line 6 30 watt amp and a jackson guitar. when I play the "clean" version it always seems very distorted and there sounds like rain drops as an echo. is it the guitar doing that or am i messing something up on the amp?

  • Hi. I have looked for your amp on the net and can't find a pic? I will attempt to offer you suggested settings for a rock sound:

    Drive Gain - 10

Drive Level - as you want as its the volume

    Treble - 7-8

    Bass - 7-8

Notch Gain - not sure what that is?

Hope it helps, if not, let me know, Richard

  • thank you sooo much i just started today and my amp sounded weird and now it doesnt thank YOU!!

  • My P.O.S Amplifier is quite diffrent to the one you have used, and it doenst have a GAIN dial on it.

    The dials are as follows:

    VOLUME

    TREBLE

    REVERB

And it has 3 holes for the ire to plug into - Bright , Normal and Headphones.

  • i got mine 2day, make sure both volumes are on on the amp and on the guitar

  • I believe you must turn the amplifier on, or perhaps it's not plugged in.

  • im buying my first electric guitar soon and i didnt kno how to use the amp thnx alot man u helped me tons

  • AMP is not so cheap...which should i buy

  • u should get a FENDER FRONTMAN 15G AMp at guitar center it sells for about 80$ trust me its cheap and it is a good amp.

  • Well Vox Pathfinder 10 is also cheap and it has a great distortion for such a small amp. I actually play Metallica with it no problem.

  • this help so much!now i just need to learn a few tips on fingering

  • thanks - for fingering ideas, check out my other videos...

  • 고마워요!

  • You're Welcome ;-)

  • Do you have a tab for that part that you played in 6:24? It sounds so cool. By the way nice video.

  • Looks like I played - Asus2, Cadd9, G, D/F* - it was just one of those noodles you make up on the spot - those chords always sound good together in any order you want to play them :-) BTW Em would also fit the list...

  • Hey, i just got a electric guitar just yesterday, and i wanted my guitar to sound like 4:21, so turned the gain to 10 and the volume to 4, but for some reason it dosn't sound like it, and its proble because my guitar is brand new and i haven't tuned it yet, and the MAIN thing i hear is some buzzing sound, or like the sound when the tv cable goes out and it makes that scraty sound.

    PLZ RELY

  • nevermind i fixed it now, no need to replay now

  • Hey, I'm just starting out - and I only have bass and treble on my amp, how can I get a richer, more "metal" sound with my amp? Thanks.

  • Hi Spechs, Here's the best and quickest way I have found with the kit you have there - Use the Bridge Pickup, make sure all guitar dials are on 10. Turn the gain on your amp on full as well as the Bass. Then, as you play, mess around with the Treble on the amp until you get close to the sound you want. Most likely you will end up with the TReble at around 6-8. Have fun and let me know hoe you get on, Richard

  • Hey again, Richard. I assume I'll have to pick up a new amp as I progress with learning the guitar to get the sound I want, as I have no gain dial on my amp. :( Thanks for the tips though, and great video.

  • That's too bad!!! If you like the general sound of the amp, you could always get yourself a distortion pedal instead. Or even a multi effects pedal? Have a quick look at my effects video to see what the pedals look like so you know what I am gassing on about!

  • Hmm, I'll keep that in mind, thanks! I'll take a look at your other videos too.

  • Very welcome - send me a personal email if you would like further advice...

  • does the amp need electrcity to work?LOL

  • Only if the mouse inside it gets tired!

  • Metallica metal?

  • Meh, well, what this lesson just told us is that you need to experience with the sounds of the guitar by changing one setting at a time. Not useful at all.

  • Ha Ha! It is actually that simple - sorry but there is no Fairy Dust! LOL. Could you let me know what you would like to see more of and I will try and help you out...Richard

  • hahaha

    sure no fairy dust

  • thanks

  • I will be creating some 'how to' videos shortly to show you hoe to create the specific sounds you have all requested.... See you soon, Richard
