Few things. 1. Exam boards vary a lot and i mean A Loot some are way easier to get A*'s in. 2.How come people are like i thought i did worse, wtf! they should know if they did well. I think there is a racial disadvantage in marking with examiners giving Anne more marks then lets say Mohammed.
These are British people, right? I wonder what went so wrong that they could get a D for English and be "pleased" about it.............And where the hell are those scientific subjects? I hadn't heard anyone with Chemistry and Physics...........It seems that everyone is doing arts.....and not one of them got more than 3 subjects =.= weird. In my country they usually get 4 or 5 and they did better that this. or is it they are just interviewing poor students (girls?)
@Mriamsleeping Because "English" is English Literature, being English doesn't mean you can just easily get A's in English Lit, it 's not learning how to speak the language.

why is it every f**king year always just girls opening their results, getting emotional, jumping around celebrating - there is another 50% of the population that takes their A-levels as well, but every year the media seems to ignore them. Besides, they aint going to get to uni, and if they do - they wont get a job at the end of it anyway. 3

I feel sorry for the people who have a bad day, get a B, and are then regarded as educationally subnormal for the rest of their lives because they didn't get an A*. The biggest joke of all is Further Maths, in which 75% of candidates get an A*. So if you believe the government most kids these days are maths geniuses.
Well getting an A* doesn't make you a maths genius. And also where did you get this statistic form? Just googled it and got nothing and it does seem rather unlikely.

The reason for this is probably because of the type of person that would take further maths. I mean Maths is well known for being a difficult subject and at my college you were only allowed on it with an A at GCSE.
