  • not only was it scary but it had a good story

  • Hated this slow ass movie... I was dying for it to end... NOT SCARY AT ALL!!!

  • The Woman in Black was the best horror film I've seen since The Ring.

  • @supernalyd3 whoa, we got a badass here.

  • I saw it and it scared the shit out of me!! IT WAS AWESOME!!! So is Harry potter!!! subscribe!!

  • fucking hell it scared the fucking shit out of me

  • you know, I'm twelve and saw this, and i didn't get scared at ALL. Sure its a good/creepy movie, but I didn't get scared. O.o

  • @supernalyd3 yeah sure buddy

  • @killerkombat428 Really? Why would you even imply that I would lie on internet? Maybe you do that, but I actually have a fucking life. Jesus christ.

  • Fun Fact: The actor of the 1989 Woman in Black (Adrian Rawlins) is the same actor as Harry Potter's dad in ALL the Harry Potter movies. Coincidence?

  • I really need to watch this by the sounds of what people have told me this shouldn't be a 12 .

  • I have to cuddle eeyore before bed so i don't get scared and I'm nearly 20..wow this movie scared me i nearly cried

  • Still shocked that the movie was a 12

  • @foreverarose13 i think everybody who saw this says that i'm 15 and i shat my pants and there were lots of kids leavin the cinema funny stuff

  • I haven't slept in 3 days because of this movie!!!

  • the ladys face & her scream.........

  • anything with a creepy little girl i hate thoughs movies

  • Ehh, I still think that the Ring and the grudge are the most scariest.

  • i liked the movie but i actually didnt think that it was so scary like the beginning was boring as fuck and most of it was just a series of loud noises and idk maybe its cause ive watched a ton of scary movies before but i called like most of the things that were gonna happen in the movie (apart from the last part) but overall i thought it was really good and the part when the dead kids started popping up out of nowhere was scary

  • I shat my pants

  • Hand*

  • It was a good movie, it got me when It got to like the second night in that house after the eye appears and after the had appears on the door, yeah that night D:

  • the movie was actually good

  • When me and my friends were planning to see a movie one weekend, we WERE gonna see chronicle but they were all No...we should see the woman in black, and to be honest i get freaked out over EVERYTHING. Lol so i tried to get out of it without sounding like wimp. And now im sooooo glad we didnt see it cuz i wouldve trembled all the way home haha

  • this the first movie that actually scared me since 'drag me to hell'...

  • I love this movie and its probably the scariest movie ever and I think nothin can be scarier! I kinda think it was scarier than the Paranormal Activitys and I love the whole series of Paranormal Activity!!

  • I peed in my ... Pants

  • just watched it tonight i am so freaked out and that part in the middle where it was all scare that felt longer than it was fuck freaked me out

  • when i saw the house in the movie i thought maybe a few throw pillows, a lick of paint and it might become descent...

  • I saw it three days ago... what an epic film!

  • I was laughing the whole way through it. And I hated the ending.

  • I saw it today it was really scary and i loved it! :D Definately reccomend to someone who is a fan of horror or thinking about seeing it

  • I really loved the scare towards the beginning when he is in the house for the first time, and the camera is focused on the main characters face, but there is this shape in the background, but your not quite sure whether or not it's just part of the house or something else because it's blurry. Then it slowly turns and faces the camera and you can just barley make out that there is a face on it.

That really made my heart skip a beat.

  • This film scared the hell out of me, honestly when daniel is in that kids room i went stone cold. The only thing wrong with it is the rating, 12a?!? God, should have been a 15 for just the fact that little Tweens cant get into to see it. I had to endure them screaming at the jump scares and then talking about it for 5 mins afterwards and their sarky comments at everything. When i got out i was glad that the woman in black killed children cos i felt like doing the same thing

  • Great movie ! i saw it thanks to you Jeremy :D

  • i saw it i loved it!!

  • worth watching I liked it

  • Hey Jeremy, was ParanormalActivity nothing compared to this or are they about the same?

  • Saw this today! My friend ran out of the theater!! :0

  • actually there was this woman that had had brung her 5 year old

  • gah just saw it, it was amazing, scared the shit out of me..

  • I loved it :D

  • i hate films at the moment with shit endings but this had me fooled SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER ok so when he and his son died i was expecting the lady in black to say thankyou and return him to life as that allways seems to happen in horrors when they help the ghost then ghost kills them the says thankyou and brings them to life but when they just died and thats it i was like well i look a ass lol

  • watched it yesterday, awesome movie luved everything, it had all my aspects of wahts a scary movie, best horror movie so far :)

  • I watched it on Wensday wit my sis and when it was at the ending you could here everyone scearm out "No, No". I LOVED IT :D

  • I finally saw this the other day. Wound up sitting directly in front of a group of chatty, jumpy teenage girls... one of whom randomly shouted "OH MY GOD!" approximately 500,000 times throughout the course of the film. Another was literally wimpering the whole time. I can't begin to describe my annoyance.

Still you're spot-on, once this movie got going it really delivered.

At the very end I'm just like "Shit... she saw me."

    That sticks.

  • this movie scared the shit out of me :D loved it!

  • BIG THANK YOU TO THE SPOILERS UNDERNEATH YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY THANKS YOU FUCKING PINHEADS WAY TO GO!!!

    *round of applause

  • @kinzeUK *apologies to everyone else but it pisses me the fcuk OFF when people do this - I was going to see this today but now I think I'll wait and hopefully see if I can't 'undo' everything I just read underneath thanks to those two clowns

  • I like how you can tell what kind of review you get from Jeremy by just looking at the thumbnail... classic.

  • SAW (All Of Them) awe shit dammit that movie scarred meh

  • @1catpoop1 , thought the ending was happy, he got reunited with his wife didn't he??

  • @XXXhughes yea they wwent to heaven

  • Paranormal Activity 1 was scary as fuck !!

  • @aboo00oode992 i was laughing at that movie midnight by myself, true story

  • @suli542 good for you

  • I know it's a lame movie, but I saw Quarantine in theaters and it seriously scared the hell out of me. When I'd come home from work at night, I'd literally sprint from my garage to my house because I though rabies-infested crazies were behind me.

  • the grudge was scary as shit for me

  • Jaws affected me.

  • Daniel Radcliffe looks like Jake Gyllenhaal in this movie

  • I like a lot of scary movies. I'm a huge horror movie fan, but i don't like some horror movies. Take the movie Mortuary for examp. I did not get that. OR Penny Dreadful. OR The Descent. Those movies sucked big time. A hundred percent on the sucky movie scale. The Woman In Black could beat ANY sucky movie. Such as... uuuhh...idk maybe Slither.

  • The Evil Dead is one of my favorite horror movies

  • It wasn't to bad.

  • I agree with the scare tactics. The beginning was a lot of stuff like "BAM" in your face. But what disturbed me was how the music would underscore a moment and you'd be like "It's coming... It's...oh wait, maybe no--OHMYFUCKINGGOD." And I was all lulled into a false sense of security.

And that part about not forgetting for a couple days...that last three seconds haunted me before bed for like a week. I almost adopted a kitten to counteract it. Srsly

  • instant brown stained underwear

  • "yeah thats like ahundred bucks on pawn stars" i feel like that sometimes :)

  • i saw it yesterday, the begining was boaring, midle was a lil jumpy but not enough to make me budge the end was just stupid in all i hated it and im 15!!!!!!!

  • Scariest movie Ive seen... Dead Silence all the way.

  • @MediaMustache7

you should see it!i get scared easily too but this wasn't as bad as I thought. yes it is scary and great but all I did was cover my eyes at parts I thought were gunna be scary and I have no nightmares! just a little scared of the dark again.. but that's okay!:p

  • This movie doesn't have anything like the grudge or juon or anything like that right?

  • @Ispoil4yuN1 you do see the woman in black's face frequently and it can be related to the grudge in some parts

  • @BiXHORNETXiS does it acturally look like grudge or the woman on the poster for the movie?

  • @Ispoil4yuN1 erm, well when you see her, you don't always see her face, most of the time its just a figure in the black dress, but when you do see her face, it is comparable to the grudge, its like the scream faces that pop up on maze games but without the scars

  • @BiXHORNETXiS oh so its like exorcist with out scars

  • Room 1408 is the best horror film iv watched

  • i stood by the exit door i was the only one in the theater... Q~Q it was dark...mommy?

  • Haunting in Connecticut

  • Your humour is brilliant. Subbed

  • the ending made me sad, and i was like "YOU BITCH, HE DID THAT FOR YOU AND YOU DID THAT?????"

  • @1catpoop1 spoiler warning... thx jackass.

  • @Jermeister006 it does not exactly spoil anything retard.....its more of an adding to the confusion, rather than spoiling..im not that retarded, unless you actually want me to spoil it.

  • @1catpoop1 HAHA I know right, but it was still happy because the kid got to see his mom for the first time, and the husband got to see her again.

  • @1catpoop1

    ******** SPOLIER*****

why didnt he go back and kick her ass.... the three of them could take that bitch out easy

  • @ninjafrog1

    what....i dont even

  • @1catpoop1 well i hated but liked the ending because he died but then he was with his wife again and he was with his kid to and she said she would never forgive her sister so ye ait makes sence

  • @1catpoop1 Remember her repetitive saying near the end? "Never forgive."

  • @1catpoop1

what she did was good, he helped her be with her son so she helped him be with his wife and his son

  • @1catpoop1 She killed him because he wanted to be with his wife.

  • @killboy884 well thats just fucking selfish

  • @1catpoop1 But do you remember she was saying she will never forgive him she obviously ment it.

  • @DirtyChickenn yeah.....but like....what exactly did he do wrong?

  • i was told in school today, because we are reading the book in lessons, that there might be a school trip to see the woman in black. It could be great fun or give me horrible nightmares. What should i do, cause i get easily scared?

  • @MediaMoustache7 Just watch it (if the oppurtunity arises). I went with a couple of my friends and we get easily scared as well, or...mostly. It's a good movie, will be fun and the audience reactions are hilarious.

  • This movie game 16 people heartattacks, well even me.

  • I fink it was one of the SCARYEST movies iv ever seen

  • i did not find this movie as scary as i expected.....it was creepy but not much scary......but this movie was a good time watch no alcohol required... ;-)

  • Wes Craven presents They.

It's not that scary when you're watching it. But since watching it I haven't heard a noise in the dark, or had something electronic malfunction at night, without being 100% sure that I was about to be taken.

  • @existenceisrelative Nice mention. A film I don't think many people have seen and while it's no classic, I was pleasantly suprised at how effective it was. Now unlike a couple of Spoiler-tards running around the comment section, I won't give away what I thought was one of THE most startling shock moments of that movie. You know what I'm talking about, right? Involving a door. Jesus H I had a coronary at that part!

And the last scene/twist fucking rocks

There you go peoples. Seek out "They" :)

  • This movie wasn't scary at all.

It was complete trash from beginning to end. Complete trash.

It starts off the fucker goes into town, everyone is rude as piss. He finds out children are dying, then they figure, Hey maybe this fucking ghost lady just wants her dead son back or some shit, so they dig him up, then bury him again.

Then the motherfucker goes home..his stupid son walks in front of a train, he tries to save him and they both die...the end.

This was a pile of shit!!

  • @pvtjamesryan3 Thank you jackass for ruining the movie for us.

  • @pvtjamesryan3 WOAH calm down! I guess you didnt get the whole purpose of the movie, and it shows them in heaven with the mom.

  • @ThealltimeX LOL I get what u were saying too pvtjamesryan3, but part of me was piss at the ghost bitch, I was like "he brought your son back to you! why the hell do u have to act like a bitch and ruin other peoples lives", well in the end I guess the ghost bitch didn't screw up Author's life too bad, reuniting him and his wife together

  • love how in the trailer with the audience, its all teenage girls.....most likely potter fans who thought it was going to be the same....woops

  • great movie, i saw it today, people were actually running out of the theater XD

  • Just watched it, its a 12A in England. Nope. Should be higher rated. There was some scary stuff in that movie.

  • I'm going with my school to see this all the girls will be screaming which will be hilarious

  • the movie the grudge is not scary much but it does leave scars if you kno what i mean i was 6 when i first saw it and now im 11 and i sttill see black figures picturing the grudge ^___^

  • I'm gonna go watch it today I'm 13 I wonder how it's gonna be

  • I was 10 yrs old when I first saw the Exorcist it scared the crap out of me, and when I watch it today it brings back those feeling of how scared I was back. That's why its still the greatest scary movie of all time. That's what a scary movie is supposed to do.

  • The exorcist

  • loved the movie totally agree with u insidious the first half fucked with my head the last half was cool but didnt scare me until the very end

  • The Ring

  • Yeah i know those 15 mins... i was like wtf, its NOT ENDING!! Overall very enjoyable

  • Sick of copycats with the same old "cut off the end of the sentence" schtick. Try something different for a change.

  • Ok I'm using my older sis account and when I saw this I was only 10 it didn't scare me but the part of it the lady killed my ears

  • pause at 1:25 dont ask.....

  • eh, it was just a jump scare movie. Didn't do anything for me.

  • "Killer Clowns" and "IT" nothing was like"it" when you where a kid O_o....

  • @doriantaylor66 for sure man, "IT" fucked my head up when i was a kid

  • @ou81twoz Here the fact you just called Harry Potter a chick flick is ridiculous. It's the biggest film in the world

  • I thought D.R. Did good. I never watched those H.P. Chick flicks.

  • it wasn't an overly scary horror movie, but it was one of the best horror movies...that make sense?..

  • I was surprised in your review that you said some scenes frightened you, pg-13 is meant to scare 13 yr. Olds.

  • @ou81twoz not exactly

  • @ou81twoz And you think that's exclusively for 13 year olds, do you? "Insidious" is PG-13 (15 Cert here) and that's easily one of the scariest films I've seen in modern years as is "The Exorcism Of Emily Rose" amongst others

  • I'm going to watch in today.

    I'm going to die.

  • movie hat stuck with me. ReGOREgitated Sacraifice. very creepy but very much hard to find

  • I though this movie was awesome it didn't stick wth me but I found it entertaining. My friends though were making Harry potter jokes telling him to take it his wand. I though this was way better than paranormal activity 3 though thumbs up. Movie that stuck wth would have to be puppet master 1 and 2. I was like 5 or 6 when I saw it wth my brother and sister and those dolls scared the poop out of me. Especially at the end of puppet master 2 when the lady doll said they're going after children my

  • I'm actually scared very easily in movies, so I was expecting the worse when my friend dragged me along to this.. and I'm honestly saying now, that was the least scary thing I have ever seen that classifies as a horror/thriller. The jumpscares were effective but they didn't stick, and surprisingly I was able to sleep easily that night.. all in all, it definitely could have been scarier. The only freaky part for me was the rocking chair scene.

  • I think it couldve been a little scarier, like on Insidious's level, but I liked the ending!

  • Well, Daniel could get some help, he knows someone who could reason with the Woman, WHERE'S NEARLY HEADLESS NICK?!

  • The changling (1980)

  • one does not simply be done with Harry Potter!

  • movie sucked

  • This is the scariest movie I've ever seen. Legit.

  • I saw this movie this afternoon. Scary stuff. Especially at the part with the rocking chair...

  • This film was the scariest film I've seen in a while. It was a very pleasant change compared to all these horror remakes we seem to have been plagued by lately and it got some genuine scares from me. The worst part though, was when I got home, went to bed and turned all the lights off, all I saw was this pale face right above my bed with black underneath. I screamed. Then I turned the light on and it was just the glow in the dark cover to the Scream trilogy blu-rays... I didn't sleep last night.

  • This movie was the scariest scary movie I've ever seen. No blood or gore, but very jumpy and just freaky! I had my hand over my eyes the majority of the movie.

  • @xDaisyCharm That's because blood and gore has absolutely NOTHING to do with how scary or suspenseful or nerve-racking a film is :)

  • i pooped a little when i watched this movie.

  • Just got home from this movie ... I have never been so scares in a theatre in my life!!!

  • Went to see this a couple of days ago. Everytime I see a Muslim woman (not being racist) They scare the shite out of me. Also, when he looks in the reflection in the glass, and the woman's reflection appears. Practically wet myself.

  • I <3 Victoria Hardy..... it's a shame she died because she drank lye and started vomiting blood

  • Just some info for people...saw this movie a couple of days ago and the 1st 40 mins of this film is just yawn!!! It gets really gd for the last 30-35mins

  • whos u gonna call?! (..and now you reply!)

  • Comment removed

  • @MeAnd0n1yMe JEREMY JAHNS!!! THATS WHO I WOULD CALL ;p

  • lmfao daniel radcliffe is gunna b haunted by harry potter jokes in every movie hes in

  • Please don't watch this horrible crap movie that was so boring

  • Thank you SO much! People kept telling me that it's primarily a jump kinda movie but i know your movie reviews are good and if it, as you say "scared the shit" out of you then it must be good lol.

I've seen the original a few times and that was creepy too.. Will definitely have to watch this now xD

  • This movie was really good, it was scary, great acting and some of the scares just stick with you like the rocking chair bit and with the bit when Arthurs (RAdcliffe) is looking out the window and she appears behind him, me and my mates where pretty scared! I give it a 9 out of 10 a really eerie film, I'd recommend seeing it if you haven't

  • I have a rocking chair in my house. Needless to say, it's scared the shit out of me every time I see it now :/

  • The trailer scares me

  • Comment removed

  • when i went to go see this and the woman was all up on the screen this guy in the back screamed "AVADA KEDAVRA!!!!!!"

  • @randa9711 haha Harry Potter fans are the best. When I went to see the last one in theaters, Harry had just killed Voldemort and as the last of the ashes fell a guy in the back row yells "100 POINTS FOR GRYFFINDOR!!"

  • House on Haunted Hill-remake. There's also this one I watched as a kid, but I have no idea its title. It was about a serial-killing ghost, and a guy who could not only see ghosts, but markings made by them. This ghost would carve numbers into his victims, and then would reach into them and squeeze their heart to death. The guy was pretty 'meh' until he noticed the numbers on his girlfriend.

  • @darkkit1994 the frighteners

  • @MrDeadrez Thank you! Now I'll have to see if it's as scary/cool as I remember it to be. :) I would say it's been almost a decade since I watched it.

  • This movie scared the shit outta me

  • I thought this was really good. it was eerie and full of proper good british horror . i loved it the woman is really scary with no cgi crap. The scene with the rocking chair the woman and the child omg :O the ending . scary for a 12A but not that scary but very disturbing

  • When my friend left the cinema after seeing Woman in Blak last Saturday she said that it wasn't scary.

She is still saying that it is not scary.

I have come to the conclusion that she is not human (or I'm a wimp but I prefer the not human thing)

  • I like watch half your reviews even if I dont wanna see the movie...

  • Megan Is Missing. Found on netflix instant, will scare the hell out of you!

  • WIlly Wonka

  • Watched this today.... and I thought it was average. It didn't spook me in the slightest. It also doesn't help when you have such a dreadful actor in the main role. :/

  • @engymaster hey dont hate on daniel radcliff he's gunna be bigger than taylor laughtener or robert pattinsion so dont hate what u cant have

  • @engymaster i though he acted amazingly he was a little young for the role though but back then you did get married young

  • @xXxAmyPalmerxXx Well maybe I was a little harsh. He's certainly improved over the years, but I still don't rate him. He wasn't my main gripe about the film though... It just didn't scare me :(

  • @engymaster your stupid

  • @leader9cyclon I have a stupid? o.O Think you meant 'you're'..... DUMBASS. My opinion is as valid as the next. Be more constructive with your comments please.

  • @engymaster I didn't know that you're a fucking professional actor, that knows what good or bad acting is. Daniel Radcliffe is worth about 30 million pounds, so suck on that, dickhead.

  • This movie was shitty?????!!!!!
