i bought led bulbs for my taillights and they were so dim during the day I couldn't use them. IMO they dont look any better (actually worse) and you cant see them in the sun. What i did is modified my door lights to fit the taillight bulbs. They work perfect for that, they light up everything but then again they make LED bulbs for the door lights too but i didnt what these things just sitting around.
I don't like those LED taillight bulbs. I bought 2 sets of 2 led bulbs(1157) cause my car the 97 Oldsmobile 88 has to 2 bulbs in each housing so after I installed them, they were straight, it just looks like two circular lights shining through. They don't shine brightly at daytime especially when braking only around evenings, I'm going to build my own led setup, I like them super bright. You should go with the LED taillights "TRPlace" has, they're way better.
@rollinx101 Autolumination sold a modified flasher module for my car, so I bought that. Depending on the car you have, someone probably makes one for you.
nice. i was considering this to my '00 GP (same body style), but did you have to use any type of special adapters to get them to blink or can you just install the bulb as is?
uh huh. I guess the monte carlos and impalas, which are built on the same chassis, must also be grandma buicks too. There are two things wrong with your comment:
1. Not all buicks are grandma cars. Go look at a grand national and tell me your grandma would drive it.
2. You drive a Honda Element. That's obviously the epitome of a real man's vehicle.
@mpwelk My gtp has the same block in it from the Buick gnx and it runs a VERY low 13 second quarter mile with 160,000 miles on it after about a grand in mods.

hey man.. i know this isnt in your video. but do you know what dome lights these cars use? i was told bulb number 562?
NWO41508 1 year ago
@NWO41508 Sorry it took so long to get back! The bulb is a "Festoon" style bulb, Sylvania lists it as #562, so yes you were told correctly.

Is it true that because of the LED lower power consumption, that some vehicles might sense that the bulb is out and blink fast??
rollinx101 1 year ago
@rollinx101 Yes, some older vehicles will have this problem. Mine did.
Chippy569 1 year ago
@Chippy569 What did you do?

@chippy569 - did you have hyperflash problems?
miriveq 1 year ago
@miriveq Yes, but only with the tail lights oddly enough.

I just bought the luxeon 3 watts from superbright - I sincerely hope they're brighter than this.

Who sings? Is that Adelle?

Are you using red or white leds for the tails?
koolkeef 2 years ago
Red LED's. White bulbs will come out kinda pink.

Looks good! One more thing... ANYONE who says the GP is fake, is someone who got their butt whopped by one!
BrianBlissConsulting 2 years ago
This one is slow as hell, lol, but I love it all the same.
Chippy569 2 years ago
What!? LOL.... I have an SE and it's def. not slow. How did you manage to get a slow GP?
BrianBlissConsulting 2 years ago
hehe the SE's are even slower. My GT only runs ~15 in the 1/4 mile, I don't even what to know what your SE runs.
Chippy569 2 years ago
Don't know....I've never run it on a track, but trust, I've got no problems keeping up....

they just plug rite in you just have to add a heavy duty turn signal relay so they do not blink fast

Pontiacs from the 80's forward are grandma Buicks with plastic cladding glued on the sides.

Doesn't make the pontiac any less fake.

The hell are you talking about?
Chippy569 3 years ago
Now to finish up, you should install LED for your 3rd brake light.
